Bro! This is really the school that Sakura High was based on?!? Talk about amazing! Imagine if it were an actual high school instead of a tourist attraction, then we could see Bunkasai festivals every year!

“Toyosato Elementary School was built in 1937 and was designed by William Merrell Vories. It is located in Toyosato station, a small rural Japanese town in the middle of nowhere with sweeping rice paddies, and very few services. The elementary school moved to a new building in 2004 and was originally to be demolished, but efforts were made to preserve it. The school was renovated in 2007, and in 2009, served as the inspiration for Sakuragaoka High School, which was featured in the anime K-On!”

@@EndlessTakeOff I havent been there since I made the video, but I believe the souvenir is open everyday! I can recall going once which the cafe wasnt opened but the souvenir shop is~!

No the figures are purely for display. Im pretty sure most of the item were donated by fans so by default they are not gonna sell them.

You can still go to the school! The school was originally an elementary school, but they built a new one on the other side of the block so this current school is being used as a real life location for K-On! (as well as the tourist centre)
