For those interested: 'Crabbuckit' refers to the 'Crab in the bucket'-syndrome, a phenomenon where when a group of crabs is trapped in a bucket, they will pull any crab who's trying to escape down, thus ensuring collective elimination. Also Nelly Furtado is seen playing a guitar at 1:14 and Red1 from Rascalz at the bar beside k-os at 2:45. And yes, k-os is written with a lower case k, to look less agressive. The more you know... :)

"Fascinating creature, the crab. Got that hard exterior, but he ain't really dangerous... 'cept to another crab. Dumb as all hell. Can't even walk straight. Matter of fact, the only thing a crab is good for is holding back other crabs. A crab don't wanna see another crab make it. Crab is like,' if I'm gonna die, we all gonna die'. I admire that. We all gotta die sometimes, might as well help each other get there." - Lord Rufus Crabmiser

They got K-Os to explain his many rhyme techniques inside the books he was interviewed for - *HOW TO RAP* and *HOW TO RAP 2* One of his quotes in them is: "Writing lyrics to be sung is different from writing rap lyrics - there’s a cadence difference, and some things don’t sound right. Like “onomatopoeia,” that word, no matter how many times you sing it, it’s just not a really sexy word to sing, but if you say it in a rap, you get to fit it somewhere. A word like that is a wicked rap word because it’s got so much movement."

We just kinda sat on the bench outside together, ate our za in peace and quietly recognized one another as we came and went our separate ways. One particularly drunk night we even shared a spliff. Mid two thousands I believe in TO. I lived at 42 Gladstone, in a loft above the booze can. Good times sir. Cheers Michael.

lyricks: It's high now So low it's high Like this, check it out yo Took a trip on a bus that I didn't know Met a girl sellin' drinks at the disco Said "truth comes back when you let it go" Seems complicated 'cause it's really so simple Walkin' down Yonge Street on a Friday Can't follow them, gotta do it my way No fast lane, still on a highway Movin' in and out, no doubt there's a brighter day No time to get down 'cause I'm moving up No time to get down 'cause I'm moving up No time to get down 'cause I'm moving up Ah, ha, check out the crabs in the bucket No time to get down 'cause I'm moving up No time to get down 'cause I'm moving up No time to get down 'cause I'm moving up Ah, ha, check out the crabs in the bucket It's like this, it's like this It's like flies on the windscreen, writing on walls Square Biz clones claim they're havin' a ball Foolin' themselves just before last call Tic-a-tic-a-toc tic-a-tic-a-toc Clock strikes twelve, clock strikes one Smoking gun put these fools on the run I know it's not that simple, I know it's not that hard Where's your God No time to get down 'cause I'm moving up No time to get down 'cause I'm moving up No time to get down 'cause I'm moving up Ah, ha, check out the crabs in the bucket No time to get down 'cause I'm moving up No time to get down 'cause I'm moving up No time to get down 'cause I'm moving up Ah, ha, check out the crabs in the bucket Yeah know I mean Yeah, I heard you man, yo, check, yo, yo It's a conniption fit when the microphones lit I take it higher like a bird on a wire, retire the fire I'll never 'cause I'm just moving on up Choosin' to touch, the unseen, craving the clutch The most inevitable, legible pyromania Slaying the devil, and send him back to Transylvania Strangely enough, I avoid that side of the ghetto From my heavy metal, will settle the puppets like Geppetto Damm, if mirrors where created by sand Then I'm looking in the water for reflections of man Understand the minds above time when it's empty MC, Tragically Hip, ahead by a century (rah) No time to get down 'cause I'm moving up No time to get down 'cause I'm moving up No time to get down 'cause I'm moving up Ah, ha, check out the crabs in the bucket No time to get down 'cause I'm moving up No time to get down 'cause I'm moving up No time to get down 'cause I'm moving up Ah, ha, check out the crabs in the bucket

This sounds like a song if you played it on the radio the kids who weren’t around when it was new would think it’s new. They should try honestly

If I had showed this to my band director 4 years ago, I'm sure he would have loved this song, maybe enough to transcribe it himself for his students to play. Hope you're doing well Mr. Banes, best 8 years of my life learning music from you
