Hi! Thank you for your reactions. However, NCT has another subunit which is the Chinese Subunit and they are called WayV. Hope that you can react and include them also in your NCT reactions. NCT has a total of 26 members now since they’ve added NCT wish. You can check out the Black on Black from NCT 2018, Beautiful and Resonance which consists of all the members (including Shotaro and Sungchan which are now part of Riize and Lucas who was a former member)

There is another really important subunit called WayV that you definitely need to check out, they are the Chinese subunit of NCT and have the most flawless discography, i suggest starting with Turn back time or Bad Alive! There is also a smaller unit called DoJaeJung that debuted last year so they dont have many songs out at the moment but still definitely worth checking out! - Perfume is probably the best debut song NCT has ever done. Thank you very much for reacting to NCT. NCT WISH is a new unit that will debut on February 21 of this year, they are all very young but very talented. By the way, WayV is also part of NCT, it is the Chinese sub-unit of the group and due to problems with both countries they cannot have the "NCT" in their names, anyway besides that which is a random fact, they also have very good songs and Ten is part of that unit. By the way, NCT WISH has another predebut song called "Hands Up" and you can find it under the name NCT New Team (that was the name they had before being called NCT Wish).

For most of it, I think it's because wayv is promoted as WAYV not NCT wayv. We all know why. If not, it's simple. China and South Korea have bad history. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Political or country affairs with each other are not the best. So SM promotes the Chinese unit as a separate group, but it is still NCT

And the worst part is that WayV boys are now blaming for themselves about that they don't get much recognition and they're not as popular as they wanted to be. Here is some detailed info about the whole NCT group (read this full to understand):- NCT (Neo Culture Technology) is a kpop boy group under SM entertainment (one of the Big4 kpop companies in Korea) that debuted in 2016 .They earlier had a concept of adding new members each year until their agency dissolved it in late 2023. So, currently they now have 26 members. The thing about NCT music is that they are experimental in general which means most of their songs are unique which can't be everyone's fav. Some of their songs will grow on you if you give them more listens. NCT group is broken down into different individual smaller groups which we refer them as subunits. There are 6 NCT subunits/subgroups explained below :- 1) NCT 127 [one two seven] => fixed unit with 9 members debuted in 2016. The '127' represents the longitude of Seoul, South Korea where kpop is originated. This is the main unit of NCT that start from Seoul to all over the world. 2) NCT Dream => fixed unit with 7 members (5 members + 2 youngest members from NCT 127) debuted in 2016 after NCT 127. They earlier had a graduation concept where members should leave the unit after they turn 20 but later their agency got rid of it in 2020. Their songs were youthful & bubbly from their debut era. Now, the members have grown up and their songs also had matured. 3) WayV [We are Your Vision] => fixed unit currently having 6 members (were 7 earlier until one member left due to a scandal) debuted in 2019. They are the Chinese unit of NCT and their songs are in Mandarin/Chinese and mainly promoted in China (considered as Cpop). Their original unit name was supposed to be 'NCT Vision' but it was changed to 'WayV' due to political issues b/w Korea & China. 4) NCT U [United] => Rotational unit of NCT where any member of NCT can be a part of it. There are no fixed members in this unit meaning the member lineup can change according to the songs. The lineup is chosen randomly based on the concept of the song. (Simply put, it is a mix&match or collaborative NCT unit). 5) NCT DJJ => The trio subunit consisting of members who were in NCT 127 & debuted in 2023. DJJ stands for DoJaeJung which are the first syllables of the names of members Doyoung, Jaehyun and Jungwoo from NCT 127. 6) NCT New Team/ NCT Wish => The last and final upcoming subunit of NCT having 6 members where the members were selected through a survival show called 'NCT Universe: Lastart' in 2023. They are the Japanese subunit as their songs will be in Japanese. They have a pre release single released last year called 'Hands Up'. Their official name is now 'NCT Wish' and their debut is planned on 2024 . Also, there were certain NCT projects/albums where all members unite as a whole to participate ( without random selection like in NCT U). These NCT projects are explained below: 1) NCT 2018 Empathy => This was formed in 2018 when NCT had 18 members. Thanks for including NCT Wish, they are the new and last unit of NCT and they will debut in February. love ur reactions!! nct is definitely a wormhole but its so worth it!! nct wish is the newest subunit and theyre just kinda doing predebut stuff rn. nct has a total of 26 members that are split into subunits (U, 127, DREAM, WayV, DOJAEJUNG, and now WISH), with U being a rotational subunit that randomizes members for different songs, which is where Shotaro and Sungchan were before they moved to riize. you guys did miss WayV, the chinese subunit (they dont have nct in their name bc of chinese entertainment laws or something) and i hope u react to them next time bc they are AMAZING (on my youth album is aoty in my heart!!). there's also nct DOJAEJUNG, who's song perfume was my top song of 2023 like it's actually heaven in music form. i recommend watching an updated guide on nct if ur still confused, along with nct's debut 7th sense, nct U baggy jeans, WayV on my youth, DREAM boom, DJJ perfume, and 127 ay-yo!! Go a little deeper, you've missed out on NCT's fourth sub-unit, WayV. NCT -- which stands for Neo (a pop culture term that means new/original) Culture Technology -- currently has 26 members. And the group right now as a whole has 5 sub-units -- NCT-U, NCT-127, NCT-Dream, WayV and NCT-WISH. Therefore, their style is meant to be new and original with elements that embrace different cultures and technologies to create their sound. What you just heard is considered NCT-style, they don't really have a traditional music style that you can attach to them. Because NCT is an SM Entertainment group, it shouldn't be a surprise that they are also amazing singers. SM is known for having some of the best singers in the industry. You can't be an SM artist without having unbelievable vocal abilities. Even the company's rappers focus on vocal training. That is why the company has gained the reputation as the vocal powerhouse of the industry. All of SM's artists and groups are known for being top tier when it comes to live vocals and perfect harmonies. And, switching up the beat and style of the song in the middle of the song is pretty much how the majority of NCT songs are structured, as well as SM's songs in general. It's kind of SM's signature style. You will hear that same thing happen in a lot of the songs you listen to from SM. NCT-U is NCT's first sub-unit, which debuted in April 2016. NCT-U is made up of pretty much all the members, they just add and subtract members from all the other sub-units depending on the concept for the song. NCT-U songs can have anywhere from all 26 members or only 1 or 2 members. The U stands for United, but I also like to think of it as Universal because of the way the group never has a fixed number of members. This sub-unit is designed to be fluid, which means the group is constantly changing and rearranging its members. NCT-127 is NCT's second sub-unit, which debuted in July 2016. NCT-127 currently has 9 or 10 members. This group is more of a fixed unit, so the member lineup stays the same most of the time. The 127 in this unit's name stands for the longitude coordinates of Seoul, South Korea, on a map of the world, which means it's 127's job to represent Seoul -- the birthplace of Kpop -- around the world. NCT-Dream is NCT's third sub-unit, which began in August 2016, and it is made up of the 7 youngest members of NCT at the time. All the Dream members are currently between the ages of 21-24 years old -- they were 14-17 when they debuted. (They are no longer the youngest members now that NCT-WISH, just debuted.) The way NCT-Dream originally was designed to work was that the members were part of the group until they turn 19 and become an adult. SM's original plan was that when the members turned 19, they were supposed to graduate from the group and they were no longer considered a member of NCT-Dream. Mark "graduated" from NCT-Dream in 2018, and Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin and RenJun, we thought would be graduating in 2019. (Which would have left NCT-Dream with only 2 members, with the idea that new trainees would probably debut sometime in 2020 and become members of NCT-Dream.) However, SM announced at the beginning of 2020 that they decided to make NCT-Dream a permanent group and suspend the whole " graduation" concept, including putting Mark back in the group. WayV is NCT's fourth sub-unit, which debuted in January 2019. WayV is NCT's Chinese sub-unit that produces songs in Mandarin and English and promotes in China.The only reason why WayV doesn't have NCT in their name like the other 4 NCT sub-units is because, at the time of their debut, there was a lot of political issues between Korea and China, and because of that Korean companies were not able to work in China. NCT's Chinese sub-unit has been going to debut for years, but with all the political issues it took SM a long time to find a way to work around all the rules the Chinese government put in place to prevent its native Chinese citizens from working with anyone associated with Korea and preventing anyone who was working with a Korean company from working in China. So in order to circumvent some of China's restrictions, SM found/created a Chinese company that was willing to take on NCT's Chinese sub-unit, but also allow SM to have a say in the group's concept and promotion activities. Part of how they get around the rules is they gave the group a name that distances them from their Korean roots. The company WayV is under is called Label V, which is part of SM, but separate from the Korean branch of the company and it produces songs in Mandarin to keep the Chinese government happy. All 6 members of WayV also speak Mandarin and have some connection to Chinese heritage, but most of the members are not native mainland Chinese citizens, so this gives them some immunity from the Chinese government. NCT-WISH is NCT's newest sub-unit that is about to debuted later this month, and it is now made up of the 6 youngest members of NCT. They are currently between the ages of 16-21 years old. They are NCT's Japanese sub-unit and, which is made up of Japanese and Korean members. They will primarily produce songs in Japanese and promote in Japan. These members were part of a reality survival show called LASTART and they were chosen out of a group of SM trainees after participating in the competition to debut as NCT's final sub-unit. NCT is one of the most internationally diverse groups in all of Kpop. The members as a whole represent 8 different countries and they speak 7 or 8 different languages. For example, there are 11 native Korean members (*Taeyong, Doyoung, Taeil, Haechan, *Jaehyun, Jeno, Jaemin, Jisung, Jungwoo, and new members Sion and Daeyoung), *Mark is Korean-Canadian, *Johnny is Korean-American (from Chicago), 5 Japanese members (Yuta and new members Riku, Yushi, Ryo and Sakuya), *Ten is Thai, *YangYang is Taiwanese but he grew up in Germany, Hendery is Chinese from Macau (China) and 5 mainland Chinese members (WinWin, Kun, Xiaojun, Renjun and Chenle). However, they all live and work in Korea, so everyone speaks Korean fluently. Plus, many members have attended international schools or lived abroad, so there are several members who are also *fluent in English, on top of speaking 2 or more other languages. NCT is a group that is constantly changing and rearranging its members and sound and we never know quite what to expect from them. With a concept that allows the members to rotate between sub-units, changing, adding and subtracting members depending on the concept and style of the group or song, you should never expect the same thing from them. You are better off always expecting something new, that somehow, also ends up sounding very much like NCT. LOL NCT is SM's attempt at taking over the music industry around the world. SM's original goal was to eventually have NCT sub-units representing every major city in every country in the world. It has always been SM's plan to have world domination. And to that point, right now NCT-127 is the group that SM is using to try and get their foothold in the U.S. music market with all English versions of song like "Regular" and "Highway to Heaven" and collaborations with American artists such as Jason Derulo, as well as U.S. concert tours and promotional tours with the American media, etc. So, this year is NCT's 8th anniversary, but debut dates are different for any number of members because it all depends on when they were added to the group. Fun fact: Neo City is the city that NCT is from. Because the group is made up of so many diverse members who are from all over the world, when they come together as one group, they are said to reside in Neo City. Which is why NCT fans are NCTzens and WayV's fans are WayZenNi -- the zen connecting them with NCT (WayZenNi in Chinese means WeishenV (WayV in Chinese) will cherish you) -- because we are citizens of the Neo city. We fans are also multi-cultural and diverse from all over the world and from all walks of life, so we are invited to become citizens of SM's/NCT's Neo City. Although NCT officially started debuting in April 2016 with NCT-U, NCT was actually introduced to the media in February 2016 as part of SM's new Neo Culture Technology concept. The very first members of NCT entered wearing masks and their identities were revealed as they removed their masks. Make sure you guys check out Phantom by their Chinese subunit WayV! Hey Thanks for reacting to NCT. BTW NCT has 2 more subunits DOJAEJUNG and WAYV, they don’t have NCT in their name so I understand the confusion but you should def check out their songs. WayV is NCT’s Chinese unit and DOJAEJUNG consists of 3 members Doyoung, Jaehyun, & Jungwoo from 127. NCT Wish has not yet debuted, they are NCT’s Japanese unit and also NCT’s last unit. Including Wish there are 26 members of NCT. Don’t be alarmed, if u want to get to know the boys(which I promise you won’t regret) just learn them subunit at a time. NCT U doesn’t really count as it is a subunit that changes member per song, so it has all members of NCT Also not sure if you could tell, but 2 members of Riize used to be in NCT before they were moved to Riize, so in 90’s Love Riize’s Sungchan did the rap.

NCT is an acronym for Neo Culture Technology. The initial concept was a group having an unlimited number of members. Initially meaning SM could potentially can add members at any time but that concept has been discontinued. The Neo of their name speaks to their music being the most experimental, future forward, different and diverse. They have members from Korea, Japan, China, Thailand, USA and Canada. The group is under SM Entertainment SK. Their fandom name is NCTzen (meaning all the fans are citizens of NCT). There are six sub-units that make up NCT. Currently there are 28 members. Hello, just came across you channel. I too am still very new to NCT. As of 2023 there is NOW 26 members with the youngest being 15 yrs old. Out of the 26 members they only have ONE leader, but each unit has a leader as well. Taeyong is THE leader, or as I call him, a single dad with his now 25 children. NCT: Taeyong is the leader. NCT 127" Taeyong is the leader. NCT Dream: Mark is the leader. NCT U: as far as I am aware, it's also Taeyong for this unit... I think, but, there seems to be a revolving door of members for U, so maybe it changes when members change. WayV: The Chinese members group, Kun is the leader. And the newest, the baby sub unit, half Korean, half Japanese... NCT Wish: Sion is the leader. Yes, it is a lot and I am still having a tough time learning the faces with those 26 names, but it has been a little fun, like a puzzle you have to figure out. Just gonna have gun with it I guess. Looking forward to seeing what else y'all got on here. Have fun!
