The beat is Caribbean....Nicki actually isn't American she's Trinidadian. She's from Trinidad but moved to America as a child and is now an American citizen. Nicki is half Afro-Trini and half Indo-Trini...she's half black and half Indian. Her father is Indian (Indo-Trini) and her mom is black (Afro-Trini). That's why some of her music has Caribbean beats because she is from a Caribbean island. Nicki and Ariana are really good friends and have done 5 songs together. Hopefully they do another song together soon. Their song Side To Side also kinda has a Caribbean beat so you guys should react to that song too. You guys should react to Nicki Minaj more because she has a ton of videos that I feel you two would like lol😂. Maybe you can start by reacting to her songs with Caribbean type beats first such as Give It Up To Me w/Mavado, Pound The Alarm, Freaks w/French Montana, and Twerk It w/Busta Rhymes. In some of these songs you can hear her Caribbean accent but she's pretty Americanized now so her accent isn't that noticeable. Check out her video for Pound The Alarm she filmed it in her native country Trinidad during Carnival. You guys should also react to Nicki Minaj The Pinkprint Mini Movie. Nicki's accent is American (New York) but sometimes she tries to speak Patois (Jamaican dialect), every time she speaks Patois she just sounds like any other foreigner because her accent is too heavy.

She doesn't have a Caribbean or a Trini accent (as far as I know - I've never heard Nicki sound like a Trinidadian), but she tries to speak Jamaican Patois sometimes. To Caribbean people every single island has a distinct accent, If you want to hear what a Trini accent would sound listen to some soca artists like Patrice Roberts or Destra Garcia. For a video I think you guys would enjoy watching I'd suggest Shall Marshall - Splinters.
