Hello! A little info on XG for you. XG is a 7 member GLOBAL girl group. They are all Japanese (Harvey is half Australian and Hinata is half Korean i believe), but their company(XGALX) is based in Korea. It's sub label of AVEX Inc. which is Japanese company. They promote like K-Pop groups, but they are NOT K-pop. All their songs are in completely English, except some of their Cyphers. They can rap/sing in English, Japanese, and Korean. 4 main rappers and 3 vocalist but as time passes with each new release, it's 7 all rounders now haha If you would like to react to more please react to their XG Tapes. XG is a 7 member Japanese global girl group aged currently 18-22 formed by XGALX. They do Hip Hop/R&B and Pop. They want to reach as many people as possible. This is why they sing/rap in English even though they could sing/rap in Korean or Japanese. Fandom is called ALPHAZ because the leader of a pack of wolves is called the Alpha. They have a Wolves/Alien concept.

They have been training for 5ish years they really are a dream team . Hey thanks for checking them out. So they’re actually not K-pop, but X-pop (dw about that though, just know that they make great music lol). They’re actually inspired by a lot of the 90s/2000s and certainly pay great homage to those eras. On their official website, they’re described as a hip hop and R&B girl group, but their discography offers several different sounds, their last song (SOMETHING AIN’T RIGHT) being a UK garage type beat. If you want to see them really go hard, I recommend checking out: ✫ WOKE UP: Their first all-rap track (got the vocalists rapping!). ✫ HESONOO & X-GENE performance video: Drill. The dancing is 🔥 There’s a ton more I’d recommend, but my comment is getting too long, so I’ll let other XG fans fill you in on other details.

At this point you are going to realize this isn't K-Pop but straight-out Hip Hop. Wait until you hear their R&B and POP. Undefeated is possibly the most K-pop you are going to hear from XG since the song was geared for a Korean audience for the Valorant gaming competition VCT Pacific. Also, both of you are right, XG is actually a dance crew that happens to sing like K-pop idols but rap better than K-pop idols.

They don't have 1 kpop bone in their bodies at all... Only if u have the preconception that if they're Asians , they're kpop automatically...Sure, they were trained in SK, after kpop training methods, but their style is Global: mostly american R&B, hip-hop & EDM influences, although they can do it all. To sum it all up in 1 phrase, XG is the PERFECT GLOBAL girl group: they have it all: vocals, dance skills, stage presence, charisma & visuals. And btw, they're not Koreans, they're Japanese (although 1 of them, Hinata is half-korean). But for ignorant folks out there, who don't even bother to do a 1 min search on google before assuming, that, if they're Asians, they're kpop, probably is a major surprise (& for ALPHAZ- XG's fandom name is almost an insult to label them this way).

I know what you mean about not liking boyband sound😅 i’ve known kpop in my country and acknowledged how catchy some songs are,but i’ve never really got into it, up until knowing BTS. Yes for sure many would argue that there are way many artists that “paved the way” before bts, but for me it’s the first that made me like kpop, BTW BTS don’t only play funk music. ALSO, i’m here because I’ve been a fan of XG since tippy toes and i fell inlove instantly!
