I don't know about Shooting Star being their biggest record, I think that's more opinion based than actual fact. Not trying to start anything just saying it depends on who you ask. Some people don't like SS as much. In the commercial Gyms in the US you'll find Left Right playing in heavy rotation on their music channels.

In fact I already listed all of the songs on US Radio.The US might be the largest market but it's not the only. Left Right #25 Woke Up #37 Something Ain't Right #41 Currently Shooting Star has better numbers than every other XG song. The fastest song to reach all types of milestones. Spotify SS 137 mil Left Right 126 mil KZbin Music SS 150 Mil Streams Left Right 113 Mil Streams KZbin MV SS 70 Mil views Left Right 62 Mil views Shooting Star was not only the biggest but is their most important song to date. Fellas if this is your introduction to XG then here are some recommendations to see of what they can really do. Winter Without You (The First Take version is a MUST-SEE!!!), their VOX #6 (the three vocalists), their TAPE #2 GALZ Cypher (the four rappers), Left/Right, and their performance video for Hesonoo & X-Gene. Also, XG is the only group who performed one of their entire songs in sign language because they were told they had a lot of deaf or hard hearing fans and have already performed in front of almost 15,000 people in New York for Head In the Cloud 2023

Chisa driving the car, Hinata spitting the hook and Juria being the wolf goddess are the 3 angelic vocalists in this group and this is their debut as rappers with their XG sisters. Alphaz been waiting for this drop since their pre-debut of Tape 1&2 and Vox 1-4. As usual most comments are suggesting their raps, but that is only a fraction of their talents because they are just as hard with their Vox and even harder on their Moves so you don't get them twisted.

Just wanted to share one of the many fascinating facts about XG: Maya (at 4:40) is the only member fluent in English, while the rest are still learning. I find this really impressive because I appreciate their effort to perfect their pronunciation. It's common to hear English words randomly thrown into songs without much care for pronunciation these days (at least in kpop though i know xg isn't kpop), but XG really puts in the work. Also, since you mentioned their dancing, I HIGHLY recommend checking out their dance practice (fixed version) of "Left Right" and "Shooting Star." It's probably one of the most satisfying dance practices you'll ever see from a girl group!

I suggest don't assume they are a rap group based on Woke Up. This is just their all rap song. They really shine with R&B, Pop as they are influenced by a lot of 90s R&B groups. Like TLC, Destiny Child, Spice Girls, etc. They are doing a lot of cool remixes on their current world tour. They are Japanese, based and trained in Korea for 5 yrs before they debut in 2022. Ages 18-22 The rap line (Jurin, Maya, Harvey, Cocona) and Vocal Line(Chisa,Hinata,Juria) They all have vocals and dance. Woke Up had the Vocal line more "rapping". The latest song Something Ain't Right has the Rap line singing in a UK Garage sound. Tapes Series - highlight the Rap line VOX Series - highlights the Vocal line Move Series - highlights their dancing. If you want to deep dive into their beginnings watch the Extra Documentary. They have something for everyone. And they do this without being overly sexy or vulgar. Winter Without You - First Take and It's Live is their R&B vibe Left Right - 90's R&B Pop vibe Ciara has a remix of this she performed in Coachella. Just don't assume they are one genre.

Check out their R&B song Winter Without You. Even better, skip the music video and go straight to their live performances on live music show The First Take. Their live performances are guaranteed to be always better than the studio version. XG does have a decent size fan base but definitely still on the rise. Still relatively unknown, especially in the US. Woke is not even their best song imo. It's definitely received the most recognition and help them blow up recently but really everything in their discography is amazing. Can't go wrong with anything from them. Generational talented group. They have a new mini album coming out in November so be on the look out.

The Xypher and tapes are good if you want more rap, but there's a whole bunch of directions you can go down this rabbit hole with XG. Left Right and Winter Without You are great starts if you want some 2k R&B vibes, Hesonoo/X-Gene performance vid is great if you want to see their artistry and dance skills, Shooting Star and New Dance are good if you want to see what poppy dance songs they got.. really up to who how you're feeling.
