Someone said RM is a philosopher who raps, and I couldn't agree more. He is such a profound artist. Thank you for the reaction. He deserves the world!

Youjeen came out of retirement after RM contacted her and asked her to sing on this track. She was the front woman of the South Korean Rock Band called 'Cherry Filter'. There is a live version of this from his small private concert for 250 lucky fans at the small theatre studio he always wanted to perform at.

I cried the 1st time I heard it. I realised how much he sacrificed for the group the company for Army. I didn't realise how hard it must have been for him. It made me fearfully for the future as I was scared he wud leave.😢😢😢

This song was very hard-hitting for some Army because it was a bit difficult to hear how much RM was struggling. We understand better now. I love this intelligent and emotional man and his music, especially this beautiful song.

Yesss this song is everything!! Namjoon is such a genius and poet. He wrote Wildflower during the time that BTS went on their group break and started focusing on solos. RM had said that he felt like he didn't know who he and BTS were anymore and was really struggling, so you know how personal this song was for him.

It was six months before I could experience this song without straight-up crying. It is so powerfully moving, and majestic. It is hard to put into words how deeply it reaches into us. Aspirational AND cathartic. It is a real feat to create a work of art that does both. RM is a genius.

One of my RM favorites. This is off of his album "Indigo" released at the end of 2022. Very different compilation than his newest album released (also very good). He does experiment in his music quite a lot. There is a live version of "Wildflower", he performed it at Rolling Hall in Seoul and Youjeen joined him for this song. It's very good. Great reaction, love your enthusiasm, open enjoyment and comments!

Youjeen has to be convinced to do this. She thought she was too old too wrong with her punk rock voice but she said she was the only voice that he thought would work. She pops powerful like a firework in the chorus. The producer in this has been with BTS a long time as their keyboard guy in live shows but yes only produced three songs. Before this he wanted to give up music uninspired and in a dark place but he says working on this helped him find his love for music again. That’s some of the power behind this powerful beautiful song. Rm put his all into it and it’s deeply relatable

The song is about him being in the spotlights, having high peaks but possibly fading fastly (represented by the fireworks), and wanting to stay grounded and leave a longlasting impression (represented wy the wildflowers). A combination of fireworks and wildflower became flowerworks. And it's the litteral translation from the Korean word for wildflower.

Wildflower is from his Album Indigo and every song is amazing. He has another album where he's just as diverse and gritty which is Right Person, Wrong Place. I have both albums and they were well worth the wait a I pre ordered them and then had to wait for them to arrive from South Korea. I'd stopped buying music in the early 90's but the BTS as a group and as solo artist got me back into buying physical album once again. I'm running out of space as my music collection started in 1979 along with large collection of guitars.

I know exactly what you are saying, in a Suga song, he talk about depression since early days(e é suicide attempt), and I was crying like a baby in the end of it. song is in Korean I couldn't understand a word, but the felling he put in his words were so powerful that I feel his pain... That's when I fully became an army.. I start to listen to them more carefully... And yeahh they can put emotion through their sounds and voices and dancing...

@Kazuzo, I understand that you really are liking the musicality the scenery of the music video but there’s a deeper meaning behind this music video and RM is talking about something more profound than superficial beauty of the music video. Please pause to read the lyrics if you like because you might catch some interesting story here that RM is telling us. This was released from his solo album December 2023 before he enlisted in the military. Now I don’t know if you know that in South Korea all able-bodied men must serve 18 to 21 months in in the military. That’s because of South Korea so technically RM wanted to show us this big fame and fortune that I have I don’t wanna burn out like a firework I rather be a wild flower on the ground I want to stay grounded I want to stay who I am humble I don’t want to be this massive celebrity. There is a play on words here in the Korean word fire works or wildflower can be interchanged. Most of BTS ‘s lyrics are usually about social situation’s especially addressing South Korea they have to talk about school and how the pressures of school can cause stress because of the competition of getting into a good university and the government and the school system pressure the students to study after school. From 8 to 4 is regular school hours then after from 4 to 12 at midnight students are studying School program and they have to study for the exam that they will have to take to show which school they would go to. That is the type of confrontation of what BTS want to make you think confront the system don’t become a drone have your own dreams be your own person. That is the type of topics that they touch on with many of their songs. Personally I would like to know what you think this song is about and exactly what RM is speaking to you about and what you think it means because that is important as a reactor that you decipher not only the physical music video part or the musicality but the lyrics can be broken down and show your interpretation.💜

Namjoon struggling dealing with fame and all its trappings, trying not to lose sight of himself while the whole world watches his every move. The fireworks/wild flower/flower work lyric actually came from his post back in 2017 titled 불꽃놀이the Korean title of "Wild Flower," which rhymes with (firework). He said, "Perhaps in our lives we need wild flowers [ 들꽃; deulkkot]-rather than flames [불꽃; bulkkot] or cherry blossoms [ 벚꽃; beotkkot]- in bloom, tranquilly." It's flower work because wildflowers are like fire works, they spread through the field just like how fireworks spread through the sky except Namjoon is saying he wants to live as a calm wildflower rather than a flashy quickly disappearing firework. So instead of living like fire flowers that is brilliant but would quickly disappear, namjoon would like to live more like wildflowers that are calm and tranquil. He used 불꽃 wordplay in prev work too Him wanting a life like a tranquil wild flower instead of a flashy firework that is quick to burn out. He always paints such a personal and powerful image.

While I do enjoy your reactions to popular groups like BTS, Stray Kids, EXO or Ateez, how about groups that are a little bit more underrated - a little under the radar of general public - but no less talented? (and if you want to focus on big groups, then you NEED to check out Shinee - absolute kings and veterans of the stage for past 15 years. There is a reason why they are called 'princes of kpop') My absolute favorites are A.C.E - they have multiple songs in different genres, but 'Savage' and 'Undercover' are their more popular ones, heavily rock-inspired. Other than that, Pentagon (vocal masters who are also self-produced group), CIX, Astro or GOT7.
