This song is very special to a lot of STAY. Felix really made himself vulnerable in singing it, as he hadn't attempted anything quite like it, and he hasn't always been comfortable singing outside of his deeper register. The producer who worked with him was blown away by his range and potential😂. The other thing to note is that felix also wrote this song. It's beautiful but also devastating, and it made a lot of STAY cry. We had no idea our sunshine had felt this level of pain and emptiness 😢❤. Have you reacted to taste or lovestay yet? Also, here's the story of his voice as he told it in an interview: “It’s thanks to my dad, he’s got a very low voice. It came when I first started high school, when I was 13, which was early compared to my friends. One morning I was like, ‘What is this?’ ‘Is this some kind of cold?’ So I asked my mum, ‘Am I sick?’ It turns out, no, I’m just going through puberty. And I was like, ‘Ohhh, ok, now I get it.'”
