Stray Kids is the hype group of Kpop. Their rap is fantastic. Their vocals are sublime. They are also transition kings. They write and produce their own music. There are so many song to recommend, Thunderous, Maniac, Megaverse, Lalalala, and the list goes on.

The important thing to remember is that Stray Kids aren’t traditional Kpop. The majority of their music is rap heavy. All 8 members sing, rap and dance and aren’t limited to assigned roles. They are also a family and they have broken records since the clip of Felix went viral and introduced them to more people.

About Stray Kids: Leader Bang Chan was an idol trainee at JYP for several years. While waiting to debut with a group, he formed a rap group called 3Racha with two other trainees, Changbin and Han. They wrote and produced their own music. JYP gave Bang Chan the highly unusual opportunity to help develop his own idol group (which they did through a reality show, but Bang Chan had WAYYYY more say in picking the members than pretty much any other idol trainee in the industry), and when Stray Kids was formed 3Racha was absorbed into that group. 3Racha still performs on occasion. Several of their songs / videos are posted on KZbin. They write / produce (and often compose/arrange) the vast majority of the music for Stray Kids. Over the years the other members have also gotten involved in writing and production. ---------------------------------- Stray Kids debuted in 2018. They started with 9 (in their early videos, you'll see 9 people performing) but Woojin left in Oct 2019. Stray Kids have been an 8-member group ever since. ---------------------------------- DanceRacha - main dance unit (Hyunjin, Felix (the deep-voiced guy), and Lee Know). But all 8 members dance very well. ---------------------------------- VocalRacha - main vocal unit (Seungmin and I.N). But again, all 8 members have great singing voices and they switch around on lead vocals, depending on the song. ---------------------------------- Main rappers - Changbin, Han, Hyunjin and Felix - but unlike many K-pop groups, all 8 members can and have rapped, depending on the song. ---------------------------------- Languages: Bang Chan (the leader of the group) and Felix (deep-voiced guy) are both Korean-Australian, so English is their first language. The other 6 members speak English with varying degrees of fluency. All 8 members are fluent in Korean and can also sing / rap in Japanese. Stray Kids also write / sing beautiful ballads and have also written a few songs for K-drama, anime and video game soundtracks. Alright, so! This song is all about Stray Kids’ approach to music. Creativity, experimentation and competition - which are represented throughout the mv. This was their breakout hit in 2020, and honestly… one of the Stray Kids ‘things’ is having super versatile members, but I’ll point out Seungmin in particular - he has a voice that carries energy, but is also able to seamlessly provide those softer pre choruses or bridges. Stray kids is fully self produced by three of the members (they are called 3racha) - Bangchan (their leader), Changbin (the first rapper in the intro) and Han (the second rapper) - they’ve been writing, arranging, composing pretty much everything since their debut in 2018. As for next steps, I’d definitely look at Back Door (it’s the very next title track and this one sort of leads to it). Then I’d definitely recommend the title tracks in the Cle series- Miroh, Side Effects and Levanter. And the wordplay title tracks - Thunderous, Maniac and Case 143. They’ve got over 180 songs, so there’s a lot to pick from. 😅

The guy with the chains across his face, Bang Chan, is the one to thank for Stray Kids 😍 He chose every member at the tender age of 20. He is their leader and has been their main producer/lyricist/composer/arranger since the get go. I seriously do not know of a man more hardworking than him in the whole music industry. Even when he has time off, he's in the studio or on his laptop (lovingly called the "holy grail") creating music ❤... You won't regret going down this particular rabbit hole, they fetch out sooo much content like "making of...", dance practices, SKZ CODE (which is hilarious), and also solo projects 😊

The Stray Kids discography is deep and diverse with almost 200 self produced tracks. There is something for everyone. Expect the unexpected. It's not the typical kpop track. They are unapologetically themselves and will always surprise you. They will never disappoint! Each of the 8 members can sing, dance, rap, and write music, albeit some are stronger in certain respects. There just is a healthy balance in the group and it really is amazing. You'll hear every genre and understand that many of their tracks clap back at the haters, but in such a sophisticated way using their lyrics. I've been around the music block for over 5 decades and appreciate almost everything, but I have to say that Stray Kids occupies 95% of my playlists. With all the music, m/vs, stage performances,,dance practices and variety shows you will definitely be busy!

I relate, when I hear a song that just seems to hit that feeling in me, that's special. I started my journey last year with Stray Kids and their music hits different! They are 8 members whose members are multi talented. They write, compose, arrange,and produce majority of their songs, done by 3Racha, their producing unit consisting of 3 members of the group, Bang Chan (he was the voice you liked in the beginning pre-chorus), Changbin, and Han (the last 2 were the 1st and 2nd rappers in God's Menu). Their music is really them talking to their listeners. That's what means a lot to me. There are some songs that aren't my type of music but just like what they say in God's Menu, they have something for everyone. They are genuine. Bang Chan is the leader of the group and hand picked each one of the members. That's very unique. Usually the company puts the groups together. If you want to know more a guide is best. Chandora's World has a quick guide and a comprehensive one. Songs to recommend: 1. Hellevator - pre debut song 2. Since you watch anime they did an intro and outro to Tower of God, Top and Slump. 3. Stray kids are pure 🔥. They write and produce their own music, and they are just unique. They are masters of transitions and hype, their dance/performance skills are off the chart, and their songs always have deeper meanings. They are all wonderful human beings who are very close, and it shows in their work. Subbing to watch you go down the Stray kids rabbit hole. Try lalalala, maniac, top line, megaverse, thunderous for starters, but be forwarned that they do a LOT with their music. They have many different sounds/styles ❤.

Stray Kids is a self producing group, they write and produce their own songs. (Which is rare in Kpop) Their MVs are always visually outstanding, some of the best out there. The group consists of 8 members divided into 3 sub-units: 3Racha: the main producers and songwriters: - Bangchan/Chris (leader) - Changbin (main rapper) - Han (main rapper) DanceRacha: the main dancers - Felix (Deep voice guy) - Hyunjin - Lee Know VocalRacha: the main vocalists - Seungmin - I.N The 8 members are multi talented tho, despite the subunits everyone is good at everything. The rappers are also outstanding singers. They're a Kpop group, but they really have their own genre, their music is unique in so many aspects. They've also tried so many genres, you'll find anything that u want. They have more than 200 songs, a lot of them go hard like "Gods menu" but there are beautiful lyrical songs by them aswell. OK you are gonna love Thunderous, Maniac and Megaverse. Red Lights doesn't have Felix (the deep voice guy) but it'll blow you away, and Domino sadly doesn't have an MV but it's well worth the listen anyway. People say they make noise music - they never claim that they don't, but they do say that it's GOOD noise. And they're right!

Well… the difference between Stray Kids and other kpop groups is that they produce their own songs. I mean, other kpop groups do it too but they don’t usually produce a whole album, actually, the company they belong to are the ones who are in charge of it. In SKZ, Christopher Bang, Changbin and Han are known as 3Racha, the producers of the group and also the arrangers, composers and writers. And in case you have the doubt, yes this song was produced by them. 😊 Trust me, these guys never disappoint. There are also videos of them recording.

PS....since you were talking about Anime. They also have two OST songs done for the Anime Tower of God. The intro was called Top and the outro was called Slump. They even have a One Take for Slump. Which is singing the song in one take whether it works out or they mess up, it is put out. It is really good. Great reaction!! Looking forward to more. ❤

Stray kids are my first love to kpop and my ultimate kpop groups. I am glad you are getting into kpop. There is so much more to kpop and so many amazing music and talented solo idols and groups. I absolutely love kpop. That being said stray kids are a self producing group and have 2 members from Australia. Most of the members speak very good English as well. Not that it matters because I love their Korean language too. Stray kids have the best videos and mini movie concept videos before each album. Because they produce and write their own songs they love to experiment with their music combing genres, melodies, beat and tempo changes, and unique sounds. They release more videos per album and more albums per year. And this includes songs only on their sound cloud and channel just for fans. Along with Japanese albums and song releases. Felix has an amazing deep voice but also an amazing vocal range. They have more rappers and the guy that started the video Changbin was just listed #17 fastest rapper on the global chart by Breifel which was faster than Eminem who was listed at #18. I love all of stray kıds songs and it really is hard to pick a favorite. Just when you think they can't get any better they always top the previous songs. So here is the most recent to check out next. Megaverse mv, LALALALA MV, Maniac mv, Venom mv, Top line mv, Get Lit mv their discography is huge over 200 songs since their debt on March 25, 2018. Discovered Stray Kids when this song released back in 2020 and haven't looked back since! They became my ULT group after discovering them. They got me through the darkest times working in health care during the pandemic. Not only do they create incredible music they also have selfless hearts of gold, and chaotic personalities. They produce their own music as well as all members can rap and sing so their discography is filled with diverse genre's and experimental hype beats. Like they said in this song they can cater to whatever you like I am sure you will find more music you like! Highly recommend, Megaverse, Maniac, Victory Song, SClass, Thunderous. They also are likely coming out with an album next month in July!

Hi, skz fan here! Kpop is not exactly a genre, it’s just the way ppl call Korean music industry. Kpop groups try a lot of different genres in their music. Skz in particular are very experimental if you’re trying to get into them I’d recommend checking out any of their other titles tracks first (lalalala, s-class, case 143, thunderous) since they’re the ones that have a music video 🫶 what else… they’re amazingly talented, they’re one of the few groups that participate in their music creative process A LOT

Great reaction - I really enjoyed it! Some have mentioned some of their bigger or more well known songs, but if you want to hear more vocals-based songs, I'd go with: Levanter, Voices, Chronosaurus, Secret Secret, Chill, Cover Me, and Leave. There are so many more, but that's just some worth mentioning. They do not stick to one genre of music, and they love to experiment different sounds and styles of music. What I love about this group is that they write & produce pretty much all their own music. The two guys you liked are fellow Aussies - Felix (deep voice with the face of a fairy) and Chan (first vocal drop - the leader & main producer). They have a producing unit called 3racha (who are also a rap unit) who just won an award for their songwriting, they have over 100 song credits each. If you like the slower bit I think you might like Cover Me, Slump, Scars, Levanter & Lonely Street.

U just got hit by the “Felix Effect” our deep voice Aussie “Felix” - two Aussies in the group, Leader Chris aka Bang Chan and Felix. They are my number one group. They have a lot of style of music, I would like to advise : - “Topline” which is a song with a lot of rap and which is recent - “Chronosaurus”, I love this song a lot - “Back door”, I think this song is a classic in the Straykids discography

For me, BTS and Skz are on their own levels. I mean no hate to any other groups, but there is just something different about BTS and Skz.
