I think most people think autotune is like T-pain level but most of the time it's just voice adjustment and pitch correction. Basic audio techniques use 'autotune'. Btw fyi T-pain can actually sing. He only used it to stand out. The people that followed and used his level of Autotune especially rappers, CANNOT carry a tune to save their lives. Kpop idol's on the hand can carry a tune while some may not be the most stable of singers

Yes absolutely. Some of the "no autotune" clips actually have autotune too. Most live radio shows and video concerts will do pitch correction. They're still singing live but it is edited. For example the BTS and Dreamcatcher clips obviously had some processing done. Unless the idols are completely acapella or its an encore stage there's a good chance some effects were added.

7:32 AKMU are siblings! They have excellent vocals. The older brother writes and composes all their music, and the younger sister is known as a vocal prodigy. I hope you guys check them out someday. They're really popular in Korea, but not so much internationally.

So do most live kpop vocals because the mics they use have inbuilt auto tune, pitch correction and vocal effects. Take their mics away and listen to them sing acapella and then you'll know who the real vocal groups are. Groups like Mamamoo, Lovelyz, Apink, Sistar, Gfriend, EXID, AKMU, BTOB and EXO are true vocal groups while groups like SNSD, Red Velvet and Twice only have two or three capable vocalists. Blackpink have none.
