The guy in white and black striped sweater you guys said was just chilling in the back, not singing very many lines is Wonwoo. His mother had just died a couple of months before and he had just come back after taking time off for the funeral and spending time with his family to mourn. Kim sure they gave him fewer lines to keep him from being pressured to try to act all hyper and happy. And btw…these guys have the fairest line distribution in Kpop. This vid was meant as a fun example of their songs with tiny snippets of each song, not as something to be nitpicked and judged. Just chill and enjoy something new. Sheesh.

I was an army for the longest time before I became a carat, so I know very well that Joshua isn't "on the same level as RM" when speaking in english. guys should keep in mind that they are kpop groups, that each member has a position and the focus of the group depends. some focus more on rap, others on vocals, or others on dance. Seventeen for a group of 13 members is quite well distributed and everyone participates. there are smaller groups with very unequal distributions. but clarify that it is normal that perhaps the members who have the main vocal position stand out more in the songs, than the members who have the dance position. If you see their choreos, maybe you will notice the opposite that the members who do not have as much participation in the songs have more in the dance. but at the end of the day the idea is that everyone participates in everything equally and I think that seventeen do it that.

21:56 22:07 y’all are way wrong but it’s your opinion. This is just a snippet of their discography and the funny thing is Seventeen is literally known for dancing and their choreography but also having amazing vocals. You really don’t get a more complete group than Seventeen. MAMAMOO is my absolute favorite female group and Seventeen is my favorite male group, and I started out with liking only BTS for a year before checking any other group. It’s not fair to compare them because each group is different. MAMAMOO is literally the vocal queens and they are thee best female vocal group so this setting is perfect for them although they slay on stage too because their stage presence is so captivating. For Seventeen, to truly see them, you need to see them perform with their choreo because their energy on stage is unmatched.

Ngl I was really excited to watch this but after seeing the comments, no thanks. I trust my Carat family, if they're saying you all were disrespectful then it's true already. I get that you're probably new to K-pop but you shouldn't judge artists just based on one single video. Seventeen having 13 members still has some of the best line distributions in K-pop. They're divided into 3 subunits, there's Vocal(singing), performance(dancing) and hip-hop(rapping) unit, but all the members are truly all-rounders! Seventeen has one of the best and strongest vocal line in K-pop. Get to know them more before forming an opinion please. Hopefully you'll be more considerate next time.

Respectfully saying this as a Carat... Considering that this is your FIRST reaction about SEVENTEEN, y'all should've skipped with the comment at the end and just end it with the "Their songs are not my vibes but it's fun" You don't know much about them to conclude things. Considering that this video is a MEDLEY of FEW of their songs, of course it's not gonna show you the entirety. SEVENTEEN members are divided into 3 sub-units which focus on different fields: rapping, singing, dancing... HOWEVER, All of them can sing, lots of them can rap as well, and all of them are very good dancers hence the title PERFORMANCE POWERHOUSE OF KPOP, SYNCHRONIZATION KINGS, and THEATER KIDS OF KPOP. They are one of the few groups in K-pop to actually have decent and fair line distribution, but of course, it's not gonna show it here considering it's just a minute of each song. In addition, the guy you said JUST CHILLING actually just came back from his short hiatus after his mom died. They wanted him not to force himself but at the same time be there as he wishes to. Since y'all are REACTORS, it would not hurt if you do it with humility and respect. You can at least be CONSIDERATE before saying anything like what you did to the guy JUST CHILLING. It's not that hard to at least ask WHY it seems like he's got few lines or etc. Also, Joshua, the one you said was fluent in speaking English, is American, he was born and raised in LA. Vernon, the rapper is also fluent in English. He was born in NY but was raised in SoKor, still, he is fluent. Edit: They are also called the SELF-PRODUCING IDOLS since they produce ALL of their songs. Their main producer is their own member, WOOZI. He is also awarded AAA as the Best Producer and is currently the youngest to receive such an award. In addition, all of the members produced or wrote lyrics for their songs, thus all of them are credited with not less than 5 songs per member. Also, Woozi does not prefer being tied to trends. He prefers doing it his own way and exploring genre to genre...And he and the members tailor each song for CARATS, that's probably why y'all can't relate. Unless people are GENUINELY willing to get to know them, you won't get to enjoy or love their songs. Anyways. Thank you for reacting to SEVENTEEN.

nobody in svt 'carries' lmfao even if you dont have ill intent that phrase itself implies the others arent up to a certain standard which is completely wrong.. i cant say the same for most grps but GENUINLEY each and every member of svt is talented + in multiple fields. wonwoo got less lines bc he was literally grieving at this time and im sure they (members/team) didnt wanna push this pressure of performing on dingo onto him. oh and not to mention svt have one of the FAIREST distributions in kpop..
@kookyeomist
@kookyeomist Жыл бұрын
Seventeen has 13 members and yet has one of the most even line distributions in kpop💀no member is just ‘there’🥲 you are allowed to have an opinion ofc but you can’t watch a 20min video and form the judgement that only certain members are carrying when they are all different songs, different genres, different vibes overall. Each of them bring something new and different to the group and are all amazing in what they do. Bear in mind they’ve been out for over 7 years and this doesn’t even make a dent in their entire discography they have MANY more songs. Also I know you probably didn’t know but forming opinions like ‘some members are just there as fillers’ is a very inconsiderate and weird thing to say e.g. Wonwoo in the striped shirt had lost his mother a couple months before this was filmed so they made sure to organise it in a way where he wouldn’t be given a lot of lines, please if you’re going to react to ANY group in the future, do not describe them as members who are just there to fill in the group that’s a pretty messed up thing to say considering how talented they all are plus how much they’ve been through to get to this stage :( saying some of them are carrying while others are fillers makes it sound like some are less than the others or not up to a certain standard which is kinda shitty to hear. Please do take the time to see more of their singing/dancing/variety show content as this video doesn’t reflect on their entire group dynamic like how you inferred it

(there was originally 17 before they debuted but they ended up leaving) none of this performance is autotune like they deadass sound perfect even without the music, 2 of them are american (joshua (from LA): one who yall thought had perfect english and vernon (from NY): deep vocals/ he's wasian lmaoo) and 16:39 my man barely gets any lines in general but his mom has also passed away before they recorded this so he was still mourning. yall should def react to more of them, especially their dance practices bc they aint the kings of synchronization for nothing.

i do not agree with what was said at the end, at all. no particular member in svt is carrying the rest or whatever and i think thats a pretty bold statement to make not even knowing them at all, u have now listened to some snippets of their most known and liked songs and its fine if u didnt like it a lot or whatever but dont say such things. all in svt deserve to be in the group and i thought it was disrespectful for u to say that some members just got lines not because they are talented but only cuz they were simply in the group. i was actually so excited to watch this but this is pretty disapointing for me. i also didnt quite understand the statement that the songs were hard to follow, what exactly was hard w it? another point that bothered me was the comparing of mamamoo and svt, like bfr. mamamoo has 4 members, svt has 13, so eventho their line ditribution is fair u cant fit the whole parts of each of them in a short clip.

Some future reaction advice, it’s essential to be open-minded and understanding when it comes to reacting to something new especially Kpop since its not going to have all english but it has a mixture of languages that you need to practice on paying more attention to and not just whats on the surface. *They do have many global Kpop songs but majority of what they do is Korean & English mixed music, which you don’t always need to understand what they’re conveying because you can feel it in the music itself (sometimes) but you need to watch out for a lot of wordplay and play on visuals because most times what they are saying is NOT what your thinking they’re saying.* THERE IS A WAY TO GENUINELY BE RESPECTFULLY HONEST IN RAW REACTIONS because there’s no reason to be bluntly rude, its okay to not vibe with certain songs or the genre itself as long as you show some respect to the artists.

one thing u should know as kpop reactors is that u should be open minded n careful of things u say. It is completely fine to not like some of the songs that were in the vid but NEVER compare groups to another group! thats one of the things that i dont like when i watch certain reactions cause y r u bring ing another group into the mix when doing a vid specifically focused on one group (it just messes up the whole vibe). Second, saying that one of the members was carrying was also disrespectful. All 13 members bring something to the table and without one of them it wouldnt be the same; these were only snippets of some songs as well n its unfair to make a final judgement on the all the members skills. The music style might not suit you but they playing their role either as vocals, dance or rapping. Btw, there's no such thing as "CARRYING". cuz those vocalist don't dance that good as compared to those you guys said were "NOT CARRYING". Each one of them carry the group with their own specific role. Main rappers and vocalist are not dance leader. They don't take role to do sharp choreography. Also in kpop idols have positions like main vocal, lead vocal, sub rap, performance, etc. So that’s why you see more of the same person getting lots of lines in a song.

You guys clearly don't know what a "killing voice" is. In this series they are actually doing snippets (chorus) of their discography in just one take, which can make some of the lines seem shorter than they actually are, that's why some have short lines because they cut their parts not because they don't have one. 22:07 wow YOU DID NOT just say that lol SEVENTEEN are known to be the "Self-producing idols" because each one of them has an important role in the group. They're divided into 3 units, Hip-Hop unit (4 members): 2 members write and produce songs, and the other 2 members even direct and film their own music videos. Performance unit (4 members): they create their own choreography and shares it with the other units. Vocal unit (5 members): each one of them has unique voice + Seventeen's main producer is in this unit. And not to mention, All 13 members are amazing at singing, dancing, and rapping, so it's kind of unfair to judge them based on just one clip!

I was very disappointed when I saw you all saying that to Seventeen. Don't compare them with other groups. They have their own uniqueness. Don't all of you condemn them just watching this one video. They are famous for creating their own songs and dances. They are king of perfomance on top of being synchronization. If you don't know them, don't talk nonsense about them. If you want to say something about them, research first before saying bad things about them. You're not good at judging talented people.

Hi guys, thank you for the reaction to Seventeen and I’m here not to force you to like them it’s ok if you just say it’s not a cup of tea for you because people have different tastes but if you disrespect artists and started to compare=you’re not respected yourself. FYI this group sold more than 6 millions albums last years and just the beginning of this year they sold 1.5M not even comeback yet so the numbers is showing that they’re amazing group that million listeners love their music and they’ll comeback next month fans are happy and ready to see their brand new releases coming soon

8:11 - Say that again for those in the back row! I feel like Joshua gets overlooked in the vocal line. All the members are amazing but, most of the time nobody mentions how good of a singer he is. Also, yes he is very good at english, he was raised in Los Angles. My bias ladies and gentlemen.

I know it seems unbelievable that every single member brings something new and contributes greatly to the group when they have 13 members, I was doubtful for years, thats why it took me 4.5 years to get into seventeen. But they each really do bring something different every single time, to every single song, their choreography and live performances. Unbelievable, I know.

The last part was disrespectful as hell idec that they tried to use that lame as “that’s just my opinion” buffer. You don’t have to rock with their music it’s fine if 5 ppl don’t like it millions of others do but you also don’t have to be disrespectful to them in the same breath. Sitting in a dusty ass basement spending your time reviewing kpop videos. This is why I don’t rate any of these clout ass reactors trying to scrape up a crumb of views.

I hope you don't view the comments as negativity and brush them off, instead of that, consider taking it as an advice when reacting to Kpop groups for the first time. There is a difference when giving opinion with respect and disrespect. Not liking certain songs because of personal preference, like not your style? That's fine I respect your honesty. But saying something that's not factual at all, some "carry" and "sing just because they're in a group", that aint opinion and you know it, that's assumption, wrong at that. Seventeen probably has the longest predebut phase, training together for more than 1 to 3 years, they all excel at what they do, be it singing or dancing. You all also know that these are snippets, and have a lot of members, so to say something about line distribution is a little ? Each song on its own has fair line distribution.

Some of these comments really pissed me off. Don’t recommend watching this vid for carats. Especially the disrespect to Wonwoo. I know they don’t know that his mum died at this time and thus was when he returned but still it was unnecessary for him to be singled. Seventeen are one of the best in this industry and personally I believe they are the most fair and equal line distributions overall even when there are thirteen members they all have their part to play and they are amazing. They do that most groups can’t do even in like 5 member groups there is no equal distribution compared to them!
@SyccRi

The guy in the glasses was mourning for his mother's death around that time, I suppose that was the reason he got fewer lines in this Dingo. But I can reassure you that SEVENTEEN distribution in lyrics are pretty much fair, though yes the vocal unit have more lines than the others. Just like Dokyeom/DK and Seungkwan (The black hair with black jacket and Blonde with grey-ish jacket (he's beside the red hair) you must've recognize them without me explaining their detail, if you perhaps don't, google will do) -SVT are devived into 3 units, which is hip-hop, vocal and performance. Hip hop handles rap, vocal = lyrics and producing, performance = choreography. Also fun fact! 8:00 This song was produced by Woozi (the blonde with white shirt, no jacket) when the rest of the members were eating 😂 He was bored so he create the lyrics as well as produced it. He likes anime hence the beat has that anime opening or outro vibe.

At first I really wanted to watch, this was only the first minute after I played the video.. Absolutely the first minute... But after reading the comments, I decided not to watch it. Thanks for taking the time to react to Seventeen's video. You do have the right to comment, it's not wrong. But it's a bit regrettable if you comment negatively when you don't know anything about something/someone you're commenting on. Seventeen is one of the fairest groups when it comes to song/part distribution, even including the screentime. Especially when they have 13 members when other groups usually only have 5-7 people. And also this is only a small part of the many songs they have, and this cannot always be said to represent them as a whole, both individually and as a team. Also the guy in the striped shirt (Wonwoo), here he does get only a few parts for a lot of reasons. 1. Because of the selection of songs used 2. He just lost one of the most valuable people in his life forever, maybe they deliberately made him feel a little more 'comfortable' because he should have taken time to rest but instead he immediately returned to work? None of us really know the reason

In general, it's important to be open minded and considerate when exploring new cultures and new things, especially as a reaction channel. What if we said some of you are just filler and taking up space in these reaction videos, not very nice or appropriate right? everyone in any k-pop groups are essential to the growth and unity of that group in one way or another. the point of reacting to music is to do just that honestly even if you didn't like the music thats fine. It's not ok to make insensitive comments about them though when they have been working hard for yearssss and are very well accomplished.
