It may enhance the experience to customize the light controllers so the lights spend less time pointing at the ceiling. From my quick eval. 60% of the time the lights are either straight up or 20 deg above the 90 deg horizon. In this mode, at least while watching the video, it seems like I am constantly waiting for the lights to come into the experience. I think relying on a default mode of any sound-sensing software and/or hardware is a huge oversight and usually with a little tweaking the lights can really come alive. It's frustrating that no one here mentioned this and that I see it all the time in online videos and in live shows. It's great to love the technical aspect of the industry but in the end it is a creative art which needs to be evaluated from the audience perspective. I think if you step onto the stage and look back at this setup, the light problem smashes you in the face yet no one has even mentioned it. Great gear, beautiful setup, sub-par execution of creative continuity.

Hi . Thanks for watching . I have been looking in to upgrading and love the sound of the etx range. I will probably upgrade to 2 x etx12 and 2 x etx 15 subs . It sounds amazing . I opted for the zxa1 subs initially as I wanted a bit more punch but as I do mainly high end weddings and corporate functions I wanted to avoid rattling peoples chests but wanted a fuller sound . The setup works well for 150 people. Hope this helps .

K Pro Audio The ETX 12p and 15sp is one of the best setup out today..I know i have it lol If works well on 150/200 people easy.

Thanks for looking . It's a standard 4ft deck stand but then I had chrome tubes and top plates made for the moving heads. The tubes are attached to deck stand using 2 x chauvet half couplers each side . Yes the ETX range is in the short list for sound upgrade along with the yamaha DSR and some of the FBT rigs .

EV ZLX12p's. Amazing speakers. I can't really say I like those subs but they're alright. I'm going to run 2 ETX 18sp's and 4 ZLX12p's for crowds up to 300
@kproaudio29669 жыл бұрын
I use that sound setup for weddings mainly as I don't want chest pounding bass in that environment , just a more rounded sound . To be honest I'm not overly impressed with the zlx and will be upgrading to the ETX 12's . I find the zlx clip to early . I would have thought you would be better off with 2 x etx 15 above the etx 18 subs rather than 4 zlx or for another £150 why not go for the 35p 3 way ? Anyway , thanks for watching . Cheers

K Pro Audio I find that the ZLX's don't really have a limiting issue. Usually, when I run them, I have them ticking into soft limit. I walk in front of them and they sound amazing at that SPL. The ETX35P's are amazing however, I feel that for what I need at the moment, 4 ZLX's have amazing sound quality and more versatility. In the future, I may buy the ETX35P's but I don't see that happening any time soon.
@kproaudio29669 жыл бұрын
Yeah the etx stuff is expensive . And yes having 4 tops gives you more flexibility. I have a couple of alto true sonics as back ups and didn't expect much from them but side by side with the zlx there isn't actually much difference to my ear . I keep having to remind myself that The average guest won't care what brand the gear is as long as it sounds good and looks good . Anyway, good luck buddy and thanks again for watching.

Love the set-up. I have 1 ZXA1 Sub along with 2 JBL EON 515XT and I'm thinking about buying a second ZXA1 Sub. would a second ZXA1 Sub give me more boom?
@kproaudio296610 жыл бұрын
Hi Thanks for watching . My answer would be it all depends what sound you are trying to achieve . I mainly do weddings and corporate so I wanted a full sound but didn't want chest pounding bass you normally get from 15" / 18" subs . The ev etx subs sound really nice but are pricey. As are the rcf subs , a friend of mine has a set . I have also given the yamaha dxs subs a listen . Sound good and price is good . I will probably upgrade to the EV ETX range in the near future but I love the fact I can carry these in to a venue , one in each hand . But like a said above if you want deep bass you really need at least a 15 but ideally a 18. The 18 subs are huge though . Hope this helps .

***** Hi Rafael. I am not familiar with the JBL's so not sure how they perform. Also i presume the 515's are 15" so they would look a bit odd above a 12" sub. I use the ZLX12 and ZXA1 subs for events up to 150 people. But it all depends how much sound you are trying to put in. I do weddings and corporate so i am looking for good punchy sound on the dancefloor but understand the people sitting a table want to be able to hold a conversation so i dont want to overpower the whole room with sound. However if you are doing a club night , 18th, 21st birthday they may want it really pumping. If you are looking to cover 150-200 plus events and want it loud then no you have no chance with that system. You would be looking at a stack of 2x EV ETX 18" Subs plus the EV ETX 35P on top per side. Awesome system but Pricey at about £7000.00. Otherwise the Yamaha DSR range gets good reviews and is priced better. For 2 18" subs per side and a 15" full range on top you would be looking about £4500. The zlx and zxa1 are both about 125db but the ETX and Yamaha take you up to about 134db which is massively louder. There are also many other options if you went for a passive rig, but i always use active so can't give you advice. Hope this helps.

Great looking set up! Love the look of the zlx on the pole mount. I have the elx12 that are a little heavier and use the pole mount for my zxa1 sub. I find it has a little wobble and not as sturdy as my tripods. What brand of a subwoofer pole are u using and how's the strength?
@kproaudio296610 жыл бұрын
The poles are EV ones . Yes there is some movement/wobble but tiny piece of foam placed on the side of the cup when you slide the pole in solves this but it is only a minor wobble . Not sure why companies can't get a decent fit . I agree it is much better using a stand but I prefer the look of speaker over sub . Looking to upgrade to the ETX range next year as they sound amazing . Thanks for watching

Hello what kind of hdmi splitter did you use I'm trying to buy one, but there's like 6 different I'm so confused.
@kproaudio29669 жыл бұрын
Hi Just a 1 input , 2 output splitter . Need a mains powered one as I tried a y splitter but they are rubbish . Or you can get a hdmi to rca converter and just run through a rca y splitter to the screens . That is what was used in the video and you don't really notice a drop in quality unless you are playing above 720 HD stuff .

Hey, I have 2x ZLX 12P tops, and a single ZXA1 sub. I'm debating a second sub, or instead just getting a larger sub, such as an ETX15SP. Can you please give me your input on how a second ZXA1 would be compared to just one? Would you think that would be better than a single larger 15-18" sub? How many people would you say the setup in this video is good for? Thanks for the video, any input would be most welcomed.
