There's no better crowd pleaser than biryani and today I’m sharing a mutton biryani recipe that uses a few unexpected ingredients to create a sumptuous meal to start the New Year!
Ingredients:
1 kg goat meat
3 cups basmati rice
3 medium onions, sliced
3-inch long piece of ginger, minced
7 garlic cloves, minced
7 spicy green chilis, minced
3 medium tomatoes, chopped
½ tsp salt
½ tsp turmeric powder
2 tablespoons coriander powder
2 teaspoons garam masala powder
½ tsp black pepper
½ cup fresh coriander/cilantro leaves
¼ cup fresh mint leaves
Mutton Marinade:
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp fennel seed powder
½ tsp turmeric powder
½ cup yogurt
Garnish:
3 medium onions, sliced
⅓ cup raisins
⅓ cup raw cashews
½ cup fresh coriander/cilantro leaves, chopped
½ cup fresh mint leaves, chopped
¼ cup fresh pineapple, chopped (optional)
