If Finnish was also used, it's pretty funny that they used two languages from the same language family that are unintelligible to one another. :D Although it is pretty cool to discover words in Finnish that are cognates with Hungarian ones, so the common roots actually show. Finnish also sounds eerily like Hungarian (at least to me) and I know it's Finnish when I feel like I'm having an aneurysm and don't understand a word of this "Hungarian".

Its pretty strange and epic, but even Finland wouldn't know Käärijä without the national final for Eurovision. He was a very small artist before. Probably thats why he competed, to get more recognition. And also Joost was only well known for Dutch and German speaking audiences. Now the whole Europe knows about both.
