This show was a very big deal for Nightwish as they were the first Finnish band to ever headline at Wembley Arena. The entire concert is phenominal. You will find, on your Nightwish journey, that Tuomas is a master at knowing just how to craft a song so that it keeps your interest all the way through. Add to that the fact that each song is unique and you have a live concert that holds your interest, from beginning to end.

Floor is a bit over 6 feet tall at 183cm which is about 6' - 1/4" - her younger sister Irene (also an excellent singer) is actually a bit taller.

Enjoyed the reaction. Floor is still the lead vocalist. They just released a new album, Yesterwynde, last month. Obviously no live performances of the songs on the album yet ( Nightwish announced last year that they would not be touring in support of the album so who knows how long before we hear a live version of any of the songs). 3 music videos and 1 lyric video released. The whole album is fantastic and listening to start to finish gives the songs extra meaning as it really helps with the storytelling. My favorites of the videos so far are the lyric video for Oceans of Strange Islands (fantastic heavy song) and Laternlight (beautiful ballad). The last song is an emotionally powerful song where Floor's voice will make you tear up. Written by Tuomas as a tribute to all those who are our "laternlights" that guide us throughout our life. First song written for the album soon after Tuomas's father passed in 2021. Another recent music video to check out would be Noise from their previous album, Human Nature. You could do a double reaction with the music video and then live from Hellfest in 2022. Because Human Nature dropped right before the pandemic in 2020 the tour for the album was canceled and they ended up releasing lyric videos for each song. Nightiwsh's lyric videos are more like music video's for other bands with amazing visuals. Checkout Shoemaker, one of my top 5 Nightwish songs. Also since you appreciate the symphonic elements so much check out All the Works of Nature Which Adorn the World. It is a 30 minute orchestral piece in 8 movements. Tuomas is VERY good at making sure that there is figurative space to breathe in Nightwish songs, creating those moments that build tension and anticipation but allow you to process the louder, faster paced parts of the song. "Yours Is An Empty Hope" if you want to hear Floor growl. It's one of their heavier songs. "7 Days To The Wolves" has incredible duet harmonies with Marko "Last Ride of the Day" is one of their show closers, since you've seen one of their openers now.

This was a wonderful concert and it included songs from Floor's first album with Nightwish, Endless Forms Most Beautiful, plus some amazing performances of songs written in the Tarja and Anette eras. Floor has now been with Nightwish for a longer time than either of the previous singers. Nightwish have just released their tenth album Yesterwynde which has several music videos as may not be toured.

This song is from the 2015 album "Endless Forms Most beautiful", the first album written for Floor's voice! Wembley is one of the 4 great shows with Floor (Wacken 2013, Tampere 2015, Wembley 2015 and Buenos Aires 2018), Wembley the only one having all of the BIG 3 songs: Ghost Love Score, The Poet And The Pendulum and The Greatest Show On Earth. But all performances do not have bad songs.

Floor is the same height as you - 6 foot 1. Yes, she is still the singer. The only difference between this line up and the current one is that the bassist Marko has left the band. Replaced by Jukka Koskinen.

You should check out the Nightwish official live release of the song Tribal, it was recently released and shot during their last tour 2022/23 and shows the current lineup . Song is amazing, hard and tribal.. Floor has been with the band longer than any of the other previous singers now.

Floor Jansen (6'1") is current (2012-present), and acording to Tuomas (Metal Mozart), the Last vocalist. Shudder before the Beautiful is referring to the amazement and wonder we (The Travelers) should all feel regarding the natural world. It is all around us including the solar system and universe, which we are all a part of while traveling amongst the stars on this small spec of blue. I agree with you. The vocals should be slightly louder in the mix from this show. The bass is just a bit to loud with dampens the overall sound a little. This was from the Nightwish 2015 record, "Endless Forms Most Beautiful". many of the songs from this record revolve around a theme of wonder and appreciation for the natural world all around us. As you probably know from other comments, Nightwish members are very much nature lovers and ponder deeply about the universe, how it works, and our place within its grand workings. For a slow touching non-metal Nightwish Music video, try the last song of the recently released last album. Lantern Light. No live versions available for the album. Floor beautfully shines with piano and orchestra/choir and Troy singing backup. Their music videos are awesome also.

Floor would be looking straight into your eyes in bare feet. Floor is the current and only singer Nightwish will have going forward. We should love all the musicians and be happy we are along for the journey. I totally agree with your slow down commentary. Remember this is an opener. However, Nightwish music almost always uses dynamics along with bombastic sections, key & tempo/time changes.

Everyone reacts to the Wacken 2013, I think this concert was much more interesting, presenting the first album of a trilogy. The third one has been released a few weeks ago. Funny that noone who watched Wacken first realises the new drummer. Kai is amazing!
