Beast is a group that everyone loved back in the days. Yoseob is a really good vocalist. I hope you react to more 2nd gen idols' Killing Voice. (FT ISLAND, CNBLUE, Infinite, 2AM ect)

Ahhhhh yeah my boys! So happy someone requested them! They really bring the goofy energy while absolutely knocking it out of the park. So glad you enjoyed them so much. Man Infinite, Vixx, and now Beast/Highlight I'm so happy you are enjoying all my favorite boy groups. I'm not sure if anyone explained the name change thing but basically they left Cube (their old company that they with 4Minute basically built up) to form their own company Around Us. Cube had trademarked the name Beast and wouldn't give it to members to use. Instead of doing a super long drawn out, probably expensive legal battle they decided to rebrand and named themselves Highlight, which was the title of the last album they released as Beast. When they first debuted in 2009 the media actually called them the recycled group because basically all the members had been in the idol scene before being Beast and not making it (ie being in survival shows to form the groups 2PM and Big Bang but getting cut; and a solo artist) The one who was making all his singing look effortless was Yoseob who is literally one of the best vocals in kpop (and tied for my ult bias with Onew.) He has the most wins for an idol on Masked Singer at like 9 or something and I think 2nd most wins overall. He's so talented and his solo stuff is really too though it's mostly more ballady and jazzy than hype songs. From the one with cardigan the names are: Doojoon (leader, vocal, rapper), Yoseob (main vocal), Gikwang (Main dancer, vocal), and Dongwoon (youngest, vocal). For the Korean titled songs in order: Plz Don't Be Sad, Beautiful Night, Breath, Can Be Better, On Rainy Days (the ballad one with the harmonies you liked, this song still climbs the charts in korea every time it rains), Not the End. Also since you liked Not the End so much I really think you'd like their song Loved a lot- Doojoon wasn't in the song since he had enlisted before they released it and it has their former rapper, Junhyung who also composed a ton of their songs.

When B2st's contracts ended with Cube Ent., they established their own agency. However, Cube owns the copyright of their name so they had to rename themselves. I'm so glad you enjoyed this killing voice! I got into Kpop in 2007 and there were some reallllly amazing artists in the 2nd gen, these guys included.

Thank you for the reaction about HIGHLIGHT’s Killing Voice. They are the first boygroup of Killing Voice. As such they have impact K-POP a lot as 2nd generation idols. Dujun is a great rapper! I love his flow too but he wasn't their main rapper and almost never raps in their title tracks. Their main rapper left the group in 2019 (and they don't cover his parts in most of their old songs). For recommendations apart from the songs in this Killing Voice: * BEAST - Good Luck, Gotta Go To Work (bside), Butterfly (pre-release), Close My Eyes (b-side), Take It All (b-side), Your Day Off (b-side), Easy (b-side) * Highlight: Daydream, Alone, Loved, Celebrate (b-side), Sleep Tight (b-side), Classic (b-side), Night Fog (b-side), Surf (b-side), Seven Wonders (b-side) Their discography is impeccable, actually they vote on the title track with their staff because any of their album songs could be title 😂 Edit: almost forgot, after they became Highlight and created their own company they have been allowing fans to freely take videos at their concerts so there are tons of 4K fancams of their performances you can react to

Hello, thank you for this reaction. Highlight used to be Beast when they were under Cube Entertainment. They are really good. Hop you could also react to BTOB Killing Voice. They ate the harmony/vocal kings of kpop and also used to be under Cube. 11 years in the industry and still active this very day. They are known for their amazing live stages and great personalities..also they are so hilarious. You won't regret reacting to their killing voice. Hope you could check it out, thank you.

If you were 19 when Mystery was released then that makes you same age as the two in the middle, Yoseob and Gikwang. Thanks for reacting to them!! So many people skip over this Killing Voice because they're not popular anymore with international fans but they ate still solidly going and actually sing everything love. Definitely worth looking into!
