K-SEAL 1-Step Gasket Sealant ( Water Pump Leak ) FORD 302

People who don't use or recommend K-Seal need to understand that, although $15 a bottle, this stuff is completely harmless, I've run it myself in several vehicles to avoid such repairs, since the water pump on a 302 is a pain in the ass. I've run it in multiple vehicles and it's fixed EVERY leak I've ever had excluding radiator tanks and plastic 4.0 Ford SOHC thermostat housings, it doesn't work on those. I've even had it I believe stop a head gasket leak. It's will NOT stop up a heater core. I'm glad to have told BST about it.

K-Seal really works folks. I own a 94 Toyota Celica with over 335,000 miles on it and it smoked like a freight train and after i used a 1/2 bottle of K-Seal and drove it for 15 minutes..... NO SMOKE AT ALL! I SWEAR BY THIS STUFF. IT REALLY WORKS!

K-Seal is a poor man's medicine! It has saved me a few times over the years! Especially if you have only one vehicle you can keep going able to manage your responsibilities to famil y and friends! Good thing it worked, its not fun replacing a water pump in this cold weather. I am always a little careful with stop leak. Best example is my Cadillac with head gasket issues. I pulled the first head last sunday, and now i know why it got the head gasket issue. Someone poured some kind of stop leak in there, and it completely, and i mean completely clogged up 50% of the coolant passages around the cylinder sleves. I've never seen anything like that. Parts are soft and parts are dusty dry. Its crazy

Alumaseal powder was $3. It sealed water pumps. Now it's gone. Chevy and Ford puts pellets their radiators straight out of the factory.

@@honeyfine5269 also I had to use more than one bottle of k seal but it does work, if you have to travel like back and forth to work , use one bottle like instructions say and have another bottle on stand by. Don't wait to get a bottle, buy 2 bottles of k seal now. That way you will have it ready if in case you need it. Because if not your car won't be able to get you home in a emergency type of situation

Sealant in the over flow tank may clog the line because it reacts as if there is a leak. Hot pressure Fluid leaving the radiator.

Lets say if you had a 80s bmw sure... the hose is very fine ( you can watch the fluid enter the over flow take when running ) but this product and this type of car ( its good ) BARZ Leak is the worst product to me.. I seen that clogg stats and rads

i really do not know how bad is your leak if it really bad then its best to change the engine you have a 4.6 the engine cost $300 in the junkyard and maybe another 300 to install... if you take this route swap your cams over if you get a non Mustang 4.6,,,, Now i would use 2 bottles for this and leave the heater running and see what is what ... its a 50/50 chance this may work

I have an issue where the coolant goes into the expansion tank but not back into the radiator. Oftentimes i need to siphon out the excess coolant from the reservoir and put back into radiator. I dont have milky oil, i've only overheated once, because i forgot to put the coolant back into the radiator from the expansion tank, but, i changes my radiator cap, radiator, thermostate, and hoses.... i dont see any physical leaks at all. i may try this.

BST Ford Channel Hopefully it lasts the winter, it’s gonna get cold the end of this week..and snow. The front cover job on that isn’t hard, just I’d almost bet you’ll break a bolt off in the motor. That would then turn a quick job maybe into a pain in the butt.

clean the iac and throttle body with carb cleaner and a rag. unplug the iac and dont get the sensor side wet to fix that morning stall. FYI DO NOT remove the lower intake or waterpump/timing cover bolts without welding on the heads of the bolts to get them bright red or the bolts will break off and screw you over. Take note and remember this tip!!!! just gave you the obs hack of info.

Never heard of K-Seal. I used other brands back in the day that looked the same like chunky muddy water to no avail. But if it works for a little while and gets you through some necessary runs, I'm all for it. I like the idea of picking up extra motors for future builds. You can most likely sell the ones you end up never using. How much are small block fords worth that you can't hear run or take back?

I have used easy additive sealants in the past and have had mixed results with them. What I have not experienced but have talked to others that have, is coolant passages getting clogged up by those sealers. Have you heard anything about K-Seal causing that type of issue?
