That gearing is killing the top speed. But, on the other hand, I bet it wheelies in all 4 gears. 😁👍🏻

Yes... let's just say it gets to the top speed really quick.

My first major project was a 140cc swapped CT70. Did the front disc conversion too.

Mine has a 212 in it now 🙂

Hell yeah brother! I pick up my parts personally for my stock and my 212cc swap from Matt at BART Co.

You can't beat it with Bart Moto... Stay tuned for a top speed run on this same bike with a 212cc.. it's done. Just dialing it in. Thanks for watching.

I actually thought it may go faster. I had an ATC 70 just barely under 60 MPH with an 88 CC kit, aftermarket cam, ATC 110 carburetor, poorly done home porting and can't remember my gearing. I did not run out of power but was getting close, I ran out of RPM first. I am sure I could have gotten 60 MPH with the right gearing. Sounded like yours ran out of RPM more so than power also. Hard to tell in a video.

I expected it to be faster as well. Full disclosure I was just running random out of the box sprockets. I think a 17/33 combo would have got us closer to 70mph. We did basically run out of RPM definitely was no lack of power. I got the 212cc installed today. It's a BEAST.

Thanks for checking it out. The 212cc run will probably be a lot more exciting.

🛑🛑 You know, I hate to be a “wet blanket” in this, but when you add power and speed; you should also be considering what you’re using to stop it. 🤷♂️ You may be upgrading the motor, but you are still using OEM Brakes from 1969 intended for top speeds of 40 to 50 MPH. Everyone wants to talk speed and power numbers, but you may have to stop quickly someday; and you aren’t going to. Just Saying. 👍

Actually it has aftermarket front disc brakes.

Totally agree. I think I'm going to go 17 up front and 33 in the rear.

@@southeastvintagecyclerescue I did 32 an was lil to much. That'll be my next ones to try. U have the bigger wheels too should be hitting 80-90 with that new 212

@@otis3357 Yep I was figuring the same range with the 212. Might need to find a longer road to test that.
