In today’s video, I’m finally tackling a project I’ve been wanting to do for ages! I had two of my 3D printers - the Creality K1 and Creality K1 Max - set up in individual thermally insulated enclosures in my work shed. But I recently made a big modification: I removed the wall between them to create one large enclosure, making room for my Creality Ender 3 S1 Pro, which I haven’t used in over a year because I simply didn’t have the space… until now!
Now all three printers are side by side: the Creality K1, which I got on the first day it was released, the K1 Max, which I picked up during a Black Friday sale last year, and the Ender 3 S1 Pro, my reliable workhorse that’s been sitting dormant for way too long.
Let’s dive into what makes these printers unique and popular in the 3D printing world:
🔧 Creality K1: Featuring CoreXY technology, input shaping, and pressure advance, this beast is known for its high-speed, precise printing. Its lightweight design allows for incredibly fast movements without sacrificing quality. Early reviews have been overwhelmingly positive, and it’s quickly becoming a favorite for enthusiasts who prioritize speed and accuracy.
🔧 Creality K1 Max: If you love the K1 but need something bigger, the K1 Max delivers. It boasts all the advanced tech found in the K1, but with a larger build volume. Whether you're tackling big projects or batch printing, the K1 Max is a game-changer, and its input shaping and AI-assisted features ensure top-notch performance even on large prints.
🔧 Creality Ender 3 S1 Pro: Ah, the classic workhorse. Known for its reliability, the Ender 3 S1 Pro has been a fan favorite for years. While it lacks the flashy tech of the K1 models, it’s still a fantastic machine with features like a direct-drive extruder, auto bed leveling, and support for multiple filament types. This is the printer I cut my teeth on, and I’m excited to finally get it back in action!
Across the internet, these three printers are widely praised in the 3D printing community. The K1 models are especially noted for their ability to print at high speeds without sacrificing detail, thanks to the CoreXY design and input shaping, while the Ender 3 S1 Pro continues to receive love for its balance of performance and affordability.
In this video, I’ll discuss changes to my setup, talk about why I love these machines, and share some insights I’ve gathered from my experience. Stick around to the end to see how they all fit into my workflow, and maybe even pick up some tips for your own 3D printing setup.
Thanks again for watching! Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe if you haven’t already, and let me know in the comments which printer you’re using - or thinking about adding to your collection! Let’s keep growing this awesome community together! 🚀
