I do believe you have to emulsify K18 until your palms are white, then apply to hair, especially ends.

As long as you rub it in enough you are good. You'll know when it's enough. I pump, rub and am ready to go. It's not an overly complicated product, thank goodness, which is why it's so appealing.

As a newbie here, I wanted to encourage you bc your video helped me decide to try K18. Your honesty critique was real, and I loved that. I could see your apprehension. However, the last day was obviously proof it delivered! Thank you so much! Btw, I LOVE your curls!!! 🩵 Blessings!

You are too kind, thank you so much! In this video I was growing out my grays so there was no blue dye on it, just my grays growing out. The blonde tips were the bleached portions I no longer have (all natural now). BUT on the rare occasion where I stop being lazy and want to take away any yellow in it, I use the Amika purple conditioner or deep conditioner. I think I still used it more often at the time of filming this but barely anything purple now. Hope this helps!

I'm really glad I happened along your video! After watching first impression after 1 st impression and every single one would apply twice the recommended amount thinking it was supposed to condition the hair, I laughed! But you came around and in the end found it to be helpful. I haven began my treatments yet but got my bottle a week ago. So soon!! I thought I'd drop a suggesting for a protein treatment... by Curlsmith... it's their mask for protein and it had gotten excellent reviews and I swear by Curlsmith's products!! My treatments have consisted of Olaplex and deep condition. So protein and K18 is needed. Thank you for your awesome review! Hang in here, you'll get those followers! Smiles and blessings...

I appreciate the kind comment, thank you! 🥰 For me it wasn’t a huge discrepancy… mainly testing the difference between 2 & 3 pumps. Many suggest 1 for my length of hair but 2 hits the spot for me (especially given my hair’s extreme high porosity). If you use K18 you won’t really need bond builders nor protein treatments. Not sure if what I explained in the video was enough but definitely check out their site! The science behind it is amazing and far surpasses what any bond building or protein treatment can do. And thank you for the recommendations, it is much appreciated! But alas, I am not a fan of either Curlsmith nor Olaplex. Olaplex did nothing for me. I much preferred Bumble & Bumble’s bond builder (though I stopped using that brand when I realized they aren’t truly cruelty free as they claim to be). And Curslmith’s products have never done well with my hair. Their protein/bond building treatment never appealed to me because it was a mix and I preferred a pure protein treatment and a pure bond builder at my disposal (before K18 entered the picture cause now it’s only K18 and I phased everything else out). Also, the amount of time it would need to be left in HP hair is time I don’t want to add to my washday. The most OG protein treatment, and one I think far surpasses what’s out there, is ApHogee. Again, I don’t think it’s needed if you go with K18 but it’s an incredible brand! Do check it out if you’re planning to use protein in your regimen. I do have a few videos on ApHogee that might be helpful. As for my followers… haha, thank you but no hanging in there needed. 😉 My current count is one I’m super happy with and if it keeps growing then it’ll just be a cherry on top! ❤️ Hoping you love K18 as much as I did! You’ll have to let me know how you like it! ❤️❤️❤️

Wayy too much. I have extremely LONG hair and use one pump in shower after squeezing it out it feels like nothing but I has worked immensely then after 4 min I use the Olaplex 4 in 1 moisture mask or number 8 mask then rinse since k18 technician doesn’t rinse out which makes it AMAZING 😻

So glad you found a combo that works for you! For us curly girls it's always super hard to believe that anything less than a huge mountain of product will work! 😂 But for me, two pumps is the perfect amount and then I do go in with my LOC method and my hair is in heaven. My curls are really loving it!

For your type of hair I’d only use about one pump maybe two at most. To get the most out of the product be sure to activate it in your hands by emulsifying it in your hands until the product turns completely white on your hands, it’s a lot more easier to apply more thoroughly. Also be sure to keep in mind that k18 is not a conditioner or traditional hair mask, it only rebuilds the hairs disulfide bonds and keratin chains. If you find your hair needs extra moisture than you can follow through with your favourite routine of products to use for that purpose after the 4 min. And you will notice a huge difference after the 6 uses of k18! Never use too much.

Thank you! Yes indeed... I have learned to do all those things, especially not going over 2 pumps (1 doesn't feel like enough, 3 was too much, 2 is perfect). And from the get go I follow up with my usual moisturizing and styling routine after the 4 minutes and my hair feels amazing! If you watched the video you'll see it all in my 6 week journey with it (and now I am way beyond that and still using it).

Just seeing this. Forgive me the super delayed reply! So sorry to hear about all you've been going through! Have you tried seeing a trichologist and between that and a doctor finding a way to balance things out? I know a lot of what goes on with our bodies affects out hair. What I know to do is on an external level. As for K18, it IS pricey but given that I personally had to use bond builders and protein treatments with every wash and am now down to two pumps of K18 a month, it's saving me money (and time) in the long run. This definitely might be worth trying! You can even reach out to K18 on instagram and see if they might want to do a potential collab with you where they send you the product and you document how it works (or doesn't) on your hair, given your health issues. If it works, it's always a win for them with marketing and you can try it out and see if it helps! Sending you big love and hugs from San Francisco! ❤️

you can condition and rinse your hair after 4 minutes, which will make your hair feel better. I have found the K18 can be heavy and stiff on your hair if you don't rinse and condition after using.
@MizBoheMia
@MizBoheMia 9 ай бұрын
Yes you can indeed! Glad you found what works for you. My hair doesn't feel stiff so no need for me to do that though I do often follow up with my deep conditioner just because it's my habit to deep condition with each wash. But K18 somehow has my hair retain moisture better so I don't really need to rinse etc. after. All hair will react differently which is why it helps to know our head of hair and how to work with it and it looks like you found your perfect routine with K18.

I’m curious is the hair at your roots your natural gray?
@MizBoheMia
@MizBoheMia 2 жыл бұрын
It is! I'm letting it grow out. I LOVE being a blonde but after two colorists completely fried my hair (I had to big chop cause my hair was breaking off) I tried bleaching at home. My daughter would apply but it was still not ideal so I had to chop again and I just quit at the whole color/bleach thing and since I want my hair back to being long I'm gonna see if I can handle going gray.

@@MizBoheMia You look stunning in gray to me. You make it look good! I think it's because of your style. Going gray doesn't mean we have to walk around looking old and haggard like a lot of people seem to think.
@MizBoheMia
@MizBoheMia 2 жыл бұрын
@@cfoster6804 I SO appreciate your kind comment, thank you so much! I had a very hard time with it when it was first growing out and my hair was still mostly blonde. But now that it's mostly gray and the blonde bits that are left are in the minority, I am finally feeling more comfortable with it and the itch to want to quit this journey and slap some color has finally gone away. I DO understand if there are those that can't do it or wait a while to see how they like it! For me it's not so much what people say but how I feel when I look at myself and for the longest time I couldn't stomach the look of gray on me. Going blonde and then taking my blonde super light over the years helped with the mental transition I think! 😉

Way too much K18. It's okay to add condition after 4 min. Leave in condition is a must.
@MizBoheMia
@MizBoheMia Жыл бұрын
Not too much for me at all. I played with the quantity and found the sweet spot for my hair density and porosity. It's not going to be the same for each head of hair. And whether one deep conditions or not is up to each individual. I like to because my hair is high porosity, which is also why I do the LOC method (leave-in alone without sealing the moisture in does nothing for me). But what works for me will not work for everyone.
