K2: How This Girl Walked to the World's 2nd Tallest Mountain

Wow! What a trek! So, Find My Adventure recently took me on an incredible mountain experience, the K2 Base Camp Trek in Northern Pakistan.
After doing the Everest Base Camp trek in Nepal last year, I wanted to see what a similar trek would be like in Pakistan. And trust me... this was quite a different experience! Watch the vlog for the full low-down.

I did the K2 and Gondogoro La Trek this August and it's indeed one of the most spectacular trails you can do on this planet. The many, many, many rocks on the Baltoro glacier tend to get boring after a while, but the views are things that no picture book or video can do justice. It's just that spectacular. And crossing the Gondogoro La is even more special as it's the only place in the world where you will see four mountains that are over eight thousand meters high. It's tough as nails - probably twice as difficult as going to the K2 and back to Concordia - but also very rewarding. One thing not mentioned in the video is the lack of hygiene in these camps. There are plenty of mules and horses on these camps and when water gets scarce (the higher you go, the less water there is) the few places with water will get contaminated with excrements. Even if you cook it chances are that you will get sick. On my trek everyone got sick, including the local stof such as the guide, cook and porters. Moreover, on some camp sites there's no sanitary at all so even people do their natural thing all over the place. And I would like to say that the porters are indeed the real heroes of this trek. They carry very heavy luggage and their footware is more often than not something very simple like thin sandals. Wat these guys do is simply beyond imagination and they have my eternal respect for that. That's why it's such a shame that they are treated like second-class people on these treks. They have their own spots on the camp sites which is far from where the hikers are staying and they only get to eat the foot scraps that remain when all other people have eaten. They deserve more than this.

The world only knows that Nepal have the highest mountains in the world. but Pakistan is only true rival with Nepal in term of the highest mountains but there are certain features that Nepal don't have like Pakistan have 5 8000M peaks out of 14 Pakistan have the three highest mountains ranges which collide at the single place Karakoram, Himalaya and Hindukush the highest peak of Himalaya in Pakistan is nanga Parbat (8126m) second largest peak of Himalaya outside Nepal. the highest peak of Karakoram range and the second-highest mountain in the world K2(8611m) the highest peak of Hindukush is Tirichmir (7700m) which is in Pakistan and it is 33 highest mountain in the world. Pakistan have 45 highest peaks out of 100 in the world. Pakistan have 150 peaks above 7000m and there are countless peaks above the 6000,5000 and 4000m in height. Pakistan is one of the few countries in the world that have hot deserts, cold deserts, delta, rivers, vast plains,, vast snowy and green mountains, vast barren and rigid mountains, islands, sunny beaches and vast plains. Pakistan have five season winter, summer, autumn, spring and rainy monsoon season. it is one of the few countries where you can find snow, hot summer at the same time all year around. you can feel 40c and -40c temperature at the same in any time year around Pakistan have glaciers than any country in Europe. longest glaciers outside the polar region are in Pakistan. the glacier area of Pakistan is more than 15000sqkm which is one-third of the area. We have the oldest history of the world which predates Egypt and Mesopotamia in history and is estimated around 8000 years old

I appreciated this video and the work that went into it. The nature is extraordinary and I especially liked the look into the natives and culture of the people who live in that area. Remarkable. With all credit to her and her adventure, because I don't know if I could do what she did, but to me this is just revealing of how difficult it must be to summit k2 itself. This is a video, again with credit to her, about a hike to a Basecamp which is astounding to me

This is beautiful place maybe best place in the World for sightseeing in Summer also very cheap to get by not like Switzerland which is very expensive Seriously never visit Switzerland because it is just too expensive for shopping and eating out which I found out the Hard way honestly I have been to both Countries Switzerland and Pakistan.
