That external light looked like a 500 watt incandescent light too. There are lots of external LED lighting systems that not only provide great external light but will come on automatically if someone approaches the trailer, as part of an alarm system. Part of! There are alarm systems that can use bluetooth or wifi or the cell system or combinations of it that can yell at everybody, including your smartphone.

Congratulations on the new trailer! 100% absolutely put in a winch. You will pay for it with clutch wear and it is SOO much nicer for on and off. One tip is that trailers unfortunately are magnets for thieves. While it is not a guarantee I have had luck by hanging a small sign that reads 'TRAILER IS STORED EMPTY'. On more than one occasion I found the sign messed with but the trailer was not broken into.

for a cheap generator solution that does NOT involve welding, just buy one of the 3500w gas powered Honda knock-offs. These will run 1 roof AC no problem. they run on very little fuel, they are super quiet, and they are good for thousands of hours without any issue. Our little honda has run our camper for 10 4-day weekends every year for 15 years now on 5-6 gallons of gas per weekend. It runs about 12 hours every night for either AC or heat, c-pap, microwave, etc. pro-tip: add a camper awning for shade. Thank me later.

WRT the Trailer. For the ramp angle, you can also raise the tongue to get even less of a hump between the transition from the ramp to the trailer floor. Strongly recommend a winch with a wireless remote. And finally, get an awning. It's a game changer for hot California days, or rain. Really nice score, and when it's parked it will also serve as an extra single car garage.

Awesome trailer, congrats with your purchase! You might want to look into flexible solar panels to put on the roof of your trailer. It's ideal for charging small electrical equipment, while driving, or simply have a small battery pack inside for charging. I would also switch the outside lights to LED's. I converted those in my back yard. and power consumption dropped astronomically. no point on burning up to 10 times the amount of fuel to keep halogen lights running, when you can switch the bulb with LED's.

Hi Broke, I'm Dad. Joking aside, I knew it was coming from the discord but damn that's a nice trailer. Having a workbench and tool box built in and not having to come up with a storage solution is fantastic. It's a bummer that the Ferrari is too low for the side door but I think the winch is a good solution for that. It's versatile and should work for anything else you throw on the trailer too down the line. It's disappointing that the clutch was installed backwards from the factory. I know you said it's something you should have caught, but to be honest I'm not sure I would have either. You were very careful to disassemble it in the way it was shipped which would have been enough of a self check for me. At least it's fixable, albeit an annoyance.

Trailer looks great and you said in towed great, but if it's been sitting as long as you say, I'd pull the wheels and hubs and check the bearings. I've seen more than one trailer that's cooked a bearing and spat out a wheel on the highway after sitting for an extended time. Also check the production date on the tires, even if they have plenty of tread, they may be too old to safety carry a load.

If you're still looking for generator recommendations the Harbor Freight Predator generators are extremely quiet and really nice pieces. I don't know a whole lot about generators myself, but having sort of used one of the Predators myself I can confirm it is probably the quietest one I've ever heard and ever will hear. There's a few different sizes so I would recommend getting one that suits whatever power output you'll need (which I imagine isn't that much). If you don't want to go deaf or get annoyed by the constant drone of a noisy generator I highly recommend the Predator.

On the cooling system. You have to cap the bleeder connectors. Do NOT run a seperate line back to the tank. This will end up circulating the coolant back to the tank and not going through the radiator causing overheating issues. This will take a little bit of time to show up but it will run hot. Hope this helps...

One thought is a Cummins generator but also find a space to store batteries with an inverter and solar charger. You can run your lights at night, charge tool batteries or load early in the morning without waking the dead and if you are lucky enough to fill the roof, the solar panels will cut down on the amount of heat transfer into the trailer during the day. Last thing you need is a roll out awning of some kind to work under while at the track!

Get 5500 watt and check the cord end and see if it’s a 30amp twist lock or 50amp twist lock. And just make sure the generator has the correct plug. You should end up with either 30amp@240v Or 50amp@240v Which I’ve powered almost my whole house off a 5500w using a 30amp/240v

Vacuum bleeding works by evacuating all the air from the coolant system. Then coolant is let in and reoccupies that space. You need a very good vacuum (pump) for that to work in first place. Collapsing tubes are neither required nor beneficiary in that process.

Mike I have a champion 3000 generator runs on dual fuel. With electric start that is awesome! Nice and quiet. Not as expensive as a Honda. Also have a floor winch smitty built x12 with synthetic rope. The cool thing i have in my generator cabinet is a heavy duty sliding drawer so I can slide the generator out for better access and it holds the generator down via straps so I do not have to worry about movement when traveling. Lastly, you will want a flexible generator exhaust to direct exhaust down and away from the cabinet. I purchased the generator, exhaust and winch all on amazon. The sliding drawer was from a company in Australia whose name escapes me at the moment.

Crazy find on the clutch. I've thought about the possibility of installing a clutch disc backwards, but on every application I've worked on, it has been apparent which direction it goes. For instance, holding the disc up to the flywheel, the disc won't make contact on the friction surface due to the hub interfering.

Hey Mike. For our enclosed trailer we mounted a trailer hitch receiver in the floor vertically. It's welded to 2 pieces of box tube that run from frame rail to frame rail on the trailer. We then mounted a winch to a trailer hitch box section. When we load the car, we just pop the cap in the floor, drop in the winch, and pull it up. We still get in the car to steer it straight but this really helps save the clutch.

Your trailer appears to be set up for 30A which is 120v. The receptacle at the top is a NEMA 5-20 (20A). The lower receptacle is a NEMA L5-30 (30A). That cord appears to be a 20A to 30A adapter, which may not be of any use (possibly why it was left behind). You would need a 30A to 30A cord to make use of any generators 30A receptacle. Easily done by searching for a NEMA L5-30 plug and swapping out the smaller plug on that cord. There are 3 types of NEMA 30A plugs so I would first select a generator before purchasing adapters and cables. Ultimately the choice of inverter/generator will depend on your needs, but anything above 3400 watts should be good.

You should NOT run a generator in that cubby. It's only for carrying the geny. You would take it out and run on the ground. Add a very good ground spike to bond geny to ground and separate ground cable from trailer to spike. Personally I would use that cubby just as an electrical entry and non-flammable storage. Look for a diesel generator that will run a welder that you would carry. Just make a cart for the geny with small air tube wheels, roll-on-roll off when required, strap down inside trl. Ensure geny has low oil off function. A port that you can add an external fuel jerry can is a good item to also have. I've had many months in the bush with smaller gensets.

Cummins / Onan for the generator if you can find one... They come in a lot of RVs, so you may be able to find one without spending a fortune. You'll probably want something in the 10kW range for generation, that's enough to run an air compressor in most cases (and you can throw on a soft start for the compressor to keep the initial surge down). Edit: Not sure on the compartment size on the trailer, a 10kW might be too large to fit there, but worth checking.

You need an EcoFlow Smart Generator and a corresponding EcoFlow Delta Power station. Either the Delta 2 or EcoFlow Delta Pro depending on the max power consumption you need. The EcoFlow Delta and Smart Generator Combo is the *only* Hybrid Generator solution on the Market. The plus side is the Smart Generator is now Dual Fuel, meaning it can run propane or gasoline. The propane advantage is that if you leave the generator sitting for a long time, your fuel won’t go bad or you won’t need to remember to put STABIL in the tank. Another option is any large Power Station or Offgrid battery bank solution and a shit ton of solar panels on the roof.

Not sure how you are using the vacuum bleeder, but you need to use the water pump in conjunction with it. Run it for a minute or two at a time while bleeding and vary the speed. It will take a while and it doesn’t matter the type of hose, the engine block sure doesn’t compress. I know because this is how we bleed the battery coolant at Rivian.

I recently bought one from a company called Bluetti, but there are others. (I have no connection with that company, just a customer) It has 2 Kwh of capacity, with the option to add extra batteries. Would easily power your winch, plus has every kind of power outlet. Silent. no need to get fuel to it, or manage cooling. Just put a few solar panels on the roof to keep it topped up, sorted. Cheers

Suggestion for generator look at the Rv wrecking yards should be able to find what you are looking for and in fuel and volt amperage needed to fit your space.

Just get a couple of h2000 Honda Inverters...hook them in Series, then they're useful for all kinds of other things. They're lightweight, and you can plug him right into that plug. There's one that's RV specific, and then you can just get a generic one. Harbor freight makes a less expensive competitor.

I don't think that the old coolant hose routing is so much the issue. It may just be that the water pump can't deal with the volume as well as the sharp angles of the routing. So it might not be too many air pockets. It's just not moving enough coolant to get the proper heat exchange through the radiator. Maybe an external high volume pump will help to assist with moving all that coolant

Only suggestion I have for a generator is make sure it can run an ACDC tig welder. Possibly my favourite track day companion if shit hits the fan and I have found that some gennys will run the acdc inverter and some won't but thats just my 2cents

Excellent buy on the trailer. Track-life changing. Do yourself a favor, put all new trailer tires on that thing. It'll save you grief.

For onboard air get the biggest nitrogen tank you can manage from Praxair and a high pressure regulator. I don't remember if you have airjacks but I think you need about 300 psi for them. You can also run air tools off of it at the track and purge tires etc.

Great that you have finally got what you've been looking for. One cheeky question.... Did you measure the clearance between the trailers wheel arches to make sure the widened Ferrari can pass through comfortably ESP if you are going to winch it in without anyone steering it.

They have Onan diesel generators, however they are pricy. If your willing to go used, some of the RV recyclers will provide them. I would go with a minimum of 5kw if you want to operate anything beefy. A 10kw is probably better and will last longer if your only pulling 1/2 load.

Try find a 5kW Diesel genset. at 220 volts it will give you 21 Amps. You can use the 12 volt DC outlet to power the winch.

Ive seen them stacked wrong before. The only clutch manufacturer that I've never seen it with is Exedy. They are by far the best manufactured clutches on the market.
