Why do most documentaries keep saying our people disappear? We are still here suffering from countless wars. This sounds like they don't believe our ancestors actually built these structures. Dear, we are their descendants. We don't completely disappear but are just weaken. Please show some respect. Our souls are still here waiting to be awaken AGAIN.

I understand what you're saying but I think they're implying they disappeared from within the city

@@dpm2515 Thanks for your comment. My comment means no harm. Indeed, I really appreciate they put so much effort to make this documentary. I also understand we can not please everyone. However, the words " disappear completely" appear too often in various documentaries. I am not angry just sad to hear so. I also understand they don't intend anything bad. I just see this same video with altered scripts (with better words) on different channel. I am not sure if it is because of my comment. Cambodian people were almost killed off so many times. Such acknowledgement means hope to us.

Looks visually stunning, but virtually every sentence repeats tired old Orientalist cliches and errors. Very disappointing.

How would you like to improve this? I am not bothered by the statements because they at-least acknowledge that such a civilization even existed. TBH I rather have the great Khmer Empire that can rival Greek and Egyptian Civilizations highlighted in such a film than the constant focus of trauma and pain due to war and genocide. I rather show this clip to the children to know such greatness exist in their blood than to turn 180 and say that they have nothing because "everything was destroyed"
