Swiss rifles of the XX. Century- K31, K11, G11 Schmidt-Rubin. Let's have a look at the best members of the straight pull bolt design family of Schmidt-Rubin rifles.
Also let's check out some accessories.
Sorry for the poor cameramanship, had little time to prepare, and couldn't use a tripod.

I'm Canadian and own several rifles I paid just over 300 Canadian for my K31 and my friend own's all Swiss service bolt action rifles including the 1889 which he just bought. I have shot them all aswell as over 20 other military surplus rifles and never have I shot a rifle as accurate as the K31 or K11. They are worth well over 10x the value they sell for and are extremely accurate, very innovative and reliable design and the cartridge it fires is excellent. I'm a huge fan I love my K31 I never plan to sell it. I plan on getting a SIG 556 and P226 soon when I finish college. Great video liked it!!

+patruick marco in hungary, one could only dream of 400 yards range as a civilian... top one was 300 yards, thozgh steep uphill... point is u must stay sub moa with any of these rifles, with iron sights. long live the purist rifleman's way.

A very nice comparison video. Good job. Reading about the differences between the bolts is one thing, but seeing them side-by-side is understanding. I have a k31 also, and am enjoying learning to shoot with it.
@Sinaimedve007
@Sinaimedve007 9 жыл бұрын
etaoinbshrdlu basically my point would have been to show, how unnecessarily huge and long a G11 is. I am not getting any better accuracy with it, and then why not go for the top-tier K31 right away? IMHO the K31 sights are crisper as well (just my side note).
@etaoinbshrdlu
@etaoinbshrdlu 9 жыл бұрын
One guy on the Swiss Rifles forum recently claimed that with its longer barrel the K11 would have somewhat more potential accuracy at longer distances, like 700-800 meters. It would be interesting to do that comparison! And you've got the rifles!
@Sinaimedve007
@Sinaimedve007 9 жыл бұрын
etaoinbshrdlu You mean the G11, right, mate? The K11 has the shortest barrel. Still, take a look at my sniper K11 performance video. I had a run at 300 yards with it this weekend, on a hill with 15' uphill, and still got a 2 inch group. Remember: G11 is InfanterieGewehr11, K11 is Karabiner11. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rJC1Y6CogJqLppI As there is no shooting range in HUngary for civilians with 700 yards, I will neverbe able to test these guns on such a range.However, I did find that for me at least, the K31 was the most accurate with iron sights, mainly because the better front sight post (I can't really prove it, but to me, the shape of it is more crisp than the G11's thin front sight post, it's rather my personal taste than a fact).

K31 by far the best deer rifle man has ever know, ballistics are far superior to the .308 Trigger pull is like a feather Accuracy well you can drop a buck at well over 1,500 meters with easy Just be weary of wind. I see why the are going for $600-$1200 now. I paid $500 all matching with bayonet and 16 boxes of ammo. His ask was $650 I would of paid it but I went for it and he bit lol

Colonel Rudolf Schmidt designed the rifle, Rubin designed the GP11 ammo. Schmidt fused about moving the locking lugs forward so I don't think he had done anything to the design after the 1889 model.

Hi Bear of Sinai. I picked up for myself a 1911 Schmidt Rubin. i'm just curious what you did, or got done to mount your scope/sporterise it. I really would enjoy keeping it the way it came, but I feel to truely enjoy the beauty in these Rifles I would like to use it for long range, and the side mount scope just isn't a good option in my opinion.

There are mounts that use the screw holes in front of and behind the magazine. Personally I'd leave the 1911 as is as they're more rare than k31's.

Alexander Rodecape of course, there's nothing wrong with it. Never seen one fail. I had a G11 and a K11 for years, fired hundreds and hundreds of rounds, both still going strong. That much being said, the K31 (and it's bolt design) is superior in everyway, shape or form. Nothing I ever had, seen or used could give the K31 a run for it's money. It's an apex predator in the milsurp world.

+Canadian Metis Man exactly, well said, brother! Have fired at least 500+ rounds through my G11, and as many through the K11, never had any issues. These 3 rifles are all made for GP11, and will last 4ever. However, it's the K31 that takes the cake of all...

For some reason, when people would mention the stronger action of the k31, I felt like the k11 would be prone to breaking in my face or something. Thanks in part to this, I picked up my own k11 and I think it's my favorite rifle. :)

k-31s have more parts around because they made more. They even have aftermarket parts for the k-31. Sadly the k-11/ g-11 doesn't have a lot of aftermarket parts. You got to repair original parts if you can and if you want extra parts they are cost you a lot of more compared to the k-31
