How have I never commented on this video? You must have shown me a private link or something. I love this sequence. Such great shot choices, and a great demonstration of restraint where its needed, then how to unleash the hounds for an action beat. LOVE IT.

What an amazing establishing shot at the beginning! Such a great story driven way to use long lens. How long was it to pan into hero with binoculars? Was the camera always inside the room?
@maurits_valk Жыл бұрын
Thank you, Alan! The camera was inside the room and I don't believe I used a zoom lens so I think it just tracks back a bit and pans over. Hope you enjoyed it :)

This is fantastic work. How exactly did you split the work between Blender and Storyboard Pro ? Curious to hear more about the process used to get to this end result.
@maurits_valk2 жыл бұрын
Thank you, Rafael! I will make a more comprehensive breakdown of this scene soon. I knew I wanted some 3D cameras and certain things in depth so the opening sequence (until the binoculars POV) and the final oner shot is in Blender. Starting from the binoculars POV, I used the 3D environment I made as BG layers in SBPro for when the characters are debating what to do next.
@gabrielHenriquesArt7 ай бұрын
why storyboard pro and blender ? , do you tried blender grease pencil in place of the storyboard pro ?
@maurits_valk7 ай бұрын
Something’s are better to use blender for like the oner shot at the end where it’s all in 3D. Other times you can import your blender environment into SBPro to draw faster in SBPro. I was trying to find an optimal workflow with this project but now I only use blender for storyboarding
