Not all of them twitch. But this one does for a reason. Vihkr's are laser beam riding. Meaning they exclusively fly themselves to be where the strongest point of the laser energy is (inside of it). These beams are multiple degree's wide and that translates to hundreds to thousands of feet at multiple miles. When it's twitching it's trying to keep itself within that beam using bang-bang control (maximum deflection or no deflection)

This is a 9K121 Vikhr missile and they can travel to a max speed of ~600-610m/s and they travel in a straight line and ride the laser beam that the helicopter emits

no, the recdtangle is just approximate to tell the camera the size of the target you are looking for so it knows what to lock. once its locked changing the box size wont affect the targeting

This is a beam riding missile. The helicopter shines a laser beam towards the target, the missile tries to stay in that beam and uses a sensor in the back for that. This means a centre mounted engine isn't possible and a dual engine setup is required. Beam riding missiles also won't be able to do sharp turn like air-to-air missiles so they dont need big fins. So instead of using the fins to stabilize it they use the engines to spin it. The spin also allows for effective steering with a single control surface reducing the complexity.
