I enjoyed those reviews. All I know about Ka-Zar is what I learned in the 1990s X-Men cartoon, but I would love to have a Zabu figure. That Sabertooth Tiger is radical.

Man, after you made that Captain America comparison, was getting some serious 1602 vibes. Also, I've seen people using pieces from the somewhat recent Fang release to cover up those forearm lines, and give him the necklace. Personally, I just picked up this figure to use the head for Sentry. (And despite not being an Eternals guy, I'm really tempted to get Ikaris. Must be that fun Kirby design.)

I still do these things today, and by today I mean today and i'm 31. These jokes don't bother me, but I think it's good that we can talk about them sensibly. I'm looking forward to the next videos and will give this one a like.

I'm waiting for some sales on the figures in the wave (except Cable and Red Widow who I already got), however I am excited to get Kazar and Zabu eventually. Hopefully Hasbro releases Shanna sooner rather than later and release her in accurate/popular jungle outfit as an exclusive in some form than a body suited/family friendly version at retail.

Zabu could be a retooled Timber, but is close to twice as large. G.I. Joe was always a leader in articulation, so why bemoan it being used in other lines. They could have made it a two-pack with him and Ka-Zar, but then that wouldn’t have been a BAF wave. $60 would have probably been the going price if they had, though. This wave wasn’t that bad, there were some dang solid figures in it. Now, the Kingpin BAF wave was a stinker besides Silver Sable (which was just another Kate Bishop body and new head). That was a grumble of a wave to get a solid figure.

I also wondered about the panther that came with the Dungeons and Dragons Drzzt, but without having it to compare against, I don't know
@timvanboening94326 ай бұрын
@@5POAFigureReviewssorry, Jason. This was actually my reply to MondayAddams down below. Some of what I said may not make sense to your video. I think the articulation is similar, but different sculpt since a panther is sleeker in fur. As I said to MondayAddams, it’s very much like Timber from G.I. Joe. They’ve done some good animal sculpts in the Classified line; Timber, Junkyard, Fiona the crocodile, and now Porkbelly the warthog. Zabu continues that great line of articulated animals.

good review, another Marvel charactere I don't know anything about, only saw this guy once in the Merc with a Mouth comicbooks where he was used for some Tarzan jokes. The Sabertooth cat looks cool but seeing some more recent reconstruction from Beasts of the Mesozoic in comparison Sabu looks skinny. For me a Dinosaur holy grail arrived today, the eofauna T.rex "Sue" (The only affordable accurate reconstruction for me)

Do you have MotU Masterverse Savage He-Man? Your comparison with regular He-Man, And I've been seeing a ton of comparison pictures between Ka-Zar and Savage He-Man. Have you seen anything on that subject?

I don't have it myself, but back when it came out I was tempted to get it and have him sub as my Ka-Zar. That and I honestly kind of dug the new Orko.

Hey Enzo. Other individuals have also brought this to my attention. I have taken the steps of using KZbin's internal editor to cut those portions out. It could take a few hours for those changes to process, but just know I am sorry for upsetting you and anyone else affected by this topic. I'm at no harm, but clearly it was a mistake on my part. Thank you for sharing your feelings and bringing it to my attention. I appreciate every single one of you, and the fact that we have a community where we can be open and shoot straight with each other. Again, I'm very sorry. That is not something you will ever have to worry about in one of my future videos ever again.

Jason, with respect, I don't think you should casually make jokes about self-harm in your reviews. One of the things I appreciate about you and your channel is that you're a very gentle soul and your content is very easygoing and approachable. Self-harming is a real thing that a lot of people have significant emotional baggage from, or even still struggle with. I don't think the comedic value of the joke is worth the potential damage it could cause.
@orinanime6 ай бұрын
I was going to make this observation as well.

As someone who self harmed as a teenager and still fighting gets the urge today? Leave him alone. Jokes are jokes. And when they come from a place of understanding not actually mocking it's fine. Remember the trans people defending Dave Chappelle while all the cis people wanted to cancel him for "trans" jokes when it was just things that sucked about being trans. Literally. It's fine.

@@mondayadams8166 I'm not talking about censorship. I'm talking about being thoughtful about what you put out into the world. I don't have any problem with someone making a joke or otherwise talking about a triggering subject if there is sincere thought put into it. A number of years ago Louis CK did this whole bit about sex offenders when he was hosting SNL, which was definitely way worse than this in terms of its potential to upset people, but was genuinely thought provoking, hilarious, and clearly had a lot of careful thought and consideration behind it. I can't speak to Jason's perspective or personal values, and I will not attempt to. However, as it's presented here, the joke he made came off as careless and in very poor taste. I did not get the impression of empathy or understanding at all. It was taking a heavy subject matter and exploiting it for a cheap joke that wasn't really all that funny. Your experience doesn't invalidate the experiences of others with similar trauma. You shouldn't use your position to attempt to silence or trivialize other people giving fair and sincere feedback. I didn't come at him hard. I gently asserted that the joke was in poor taste, and gave a reasonable explanation as to why.
@5POAFigureReviews6 ай бұрын
Thank you everyone for the feedback. @LochNessHamster, I did not take anything you said with offense and completely appreciate your feelings (and also @orinanime). One of the things I love most about the community we have on this channel is being able to shoot straight with one another, and I hope everyone knows I am always open to constructive criticism. I certainly have nothing but empathy for those struggling with self-harm and all the other inner battles we know nothing about that each one of us deals with. From my perspective, because the joke I made was over the top and silly, it didn't occur to me that it might be triggering to anyone, but in hindsight I can totally see where you're coming from and agree with you. That said, @mondayaddams8166 I totally appreciate your kind words and support as well. Hope this all helps. Thanks everyone.

@@5POAFigureReviews I'm sorry. I didn't mean to cause so much drama. I tried to keep my comment short and simple, because it was a pretty small bit in the video, and I know you've never been out to hurt anyone. But in response, I just want to say that it's specifically _because_ you were making light of something that is very serious for a lot of people that it came off as careless. Thank you for responding and taking accountability. I don't think there's anything else that needs to be said. It was just a short, silly joke.
