Battery pack started showing issues when the hall sensor wires shorted out, against the negative wire, (wires in the Wolf are crammed packed in a tight space) under the deck due to excessive wiring being left under the deck. This happened on the second test ride while, riding the scooter at full throttle the scooter then lost power and decelerated from gear 3 down to gear 1, then came to a complete stop. The scooter would not engage throttle when it was re-applied. When resetting the controller (by powering off and back on) I was then able to get the scooter moving again, but noticed a lack of power. The rear wheel was not operating and the scooter was traveling at half its speed. I contacted my distributor who opened a claim with Kaabo but they failed to honor the factory warranty. Kaabo denied the claim for both the main controller and the battery leaving me with a $3K paperweight. So i decided to diagnose and find the failure myself to get my scooter back on the road. I am sharing this video for everyone to learn from. If your display is flashing and you see voltage dropping, and shortly afterwards, your controller is shutting off, its possible you have either a bad BMS, out of balanced cells, apparently the shortage damaged the BMS causing it to slowly drain a group of cells. If you see black silt covering your wires this is the sign that something has shorted out.
In my experience, i would never buy another scooter from Kaabo. They have zero customer support you end up stuck paying for repairs yourself. I will replace the crummy Minimotors BMS with a Smart Bluetooth BMS so stay tuned for that video which is coming up next!
Thank you for your time.
