Traditional tune from Sunnmøre, Norway, after the folk musician and composer Karl Eidem ("Blinde-Karl").
Here's what Annbjørg Lien is saying in the beginning: "What my eyes didn't see, I got through the tones. Karl Eidem said this, a fabulous fiddler and composer from Sunnmøre. He was born blind and was therefore called Blind Karl. In his youth he travelled to the town Trondheim and attended a school for the blind, where he learned both playing the fiddle and a staff system. After returning to Sunnmøre he was the main force in boosting the traditional music at his home place."
Recorded live in Hakadal church, north of Oslo, in 2002.
Bukkene Bruse are: Arve Moen Bergset (vocal, hardingfele / Hardanger fiddle, fiddle/violin), Annbjørg Lien (hardingfele / Hardanger fiddle, nyckelharpa), Steinar Ofsdal (flutes), and Bjørn Ole Rasch (keyboards).
The picture and sound quality is not so good, because this was originally recorded on video (VHS).
