I used to camp right near the falls over forty years ago , I don’t remember any bridge or trails though.

Steel... yeah, now there is a viewing platform and staircases down to the bottom of the falls. I would be depressed if I went now in 2020.! My first time there was about 1974, last time 1985. I'm from the Long Island Levittown group. We went here for many summers when it was wild and open. We camped at a privately owned campsite nearby, I dont recall the name or exact location. Where were you from in 1980, 58.??

john tuttle. I have not been there since 1985 and it was still untouched then. Now, fuggen view platforms and stairs.?? You used to have to work hard to get to the bottom of the big falls, now it looks like family tour picnics. I'm from the long island Levittown group who went to Haines Falls many summers.
