Adam & Eve's suffering began when they ate from the Tree of Knowledge and began to perceive "Good" and "Evil". All events and everything that occurs is due to the will of God. "Good" and "Evil" exist only from the limited perceptions of our egos. Understanding that everything that happens all eventually lead back to God and accepting this is the key to the end of suffering.

You people are taking one line from a poem and using that one line to argue about whether the poem is any good. Kabbalah is system of understanding human existence. If you already know more than Kabbalah has to offer then share it with humanity, please. Would you discount a symphony because you don't happen to understand or like one of the flute passages in measure 228, and therefore not listen to it? If so, no spiritual path is for you. We don't expose ourselves to spiritual knowledge because we already know it all and we just want something that agrees with our sentiments. If you are looking for something that already "makes sense" to you then you are moving sideways. If all you know is arithmetic and you are complaining that algebra or calculus doesn't make sense, what does that say about you? This is higher math, folks, have a little insight and humility.

So how would this explain the intentional suffering that someone bestows upon another person or animal for sadistic purposes? Mike L I’ll give you my opinion, which is that there is no reason for it. The fact that it happens is because of the disconnection from the creator, which is the connection to a force of infinite love for all. Since the only “goal” or “plan” is reconnecting ourselves to the giver and source of love and life, anything that happens as a result of that disconnection can only be viewed as a symptom, yet the symptom does point to the problem. So like a universal physician, we can only diagnose the illness and point to the cure, which is repairing our connection to the Source through love for all. Since this is all cosmic in scale beyond our limited space and time, we cant make sense of it in our limited perception. But in the whole picture, a horrible sadistic act may clue one into the problem and help them find the solution (eg everyone being reconnected to the creator). Again, just my conception, but does that help?

I agree that the major world religions have some overlapping core principles. I don't think we know what jesus said. There's no way to tell. Argonova because in order to experience the physical world, you must have an ego. And the ego/mind cannot contain all the knowledge it is literally too small. Part of the reason why this world exists is so that we can “figure out” why we came here.. why we didn’t just know to begin with? Well, then we wouldn’t have any of the experiences of life, because we would just know it’s a game... we must earn and reach that level of spirituality in which we understand the game by acts of growth and compassion. It's impossible to decipher. Jesus comes from the name Joshua, literally the same word in hebrew. Considering the texts existed before the greeks created the word IESOUS, Jesus, from the word Yehoshua, it is impossible to know if these people were not one in the same or if they ever existed.
