Roma people can trace their ancestry to North Western India..... It may not look like much but there are many groups like these which are nomadic within India and has passed on the artform to different parts of the world.. the art form shown is itself taken from various artforms in India. the hand and leg gestures along with the eye and head movements all have a significance in various classical dances in India. The stylized anger in Flamenco is due to the anger of being oppressed and having to still perform for the same people. These things survive if the occupation of these people is to showcase their artform although with some differences.

What central asian nomads? If you mean afghanistan then a long time ago before the islamic invasions Afghanistan was a hindu buddhist place and it had a lot of influence from India and the original afghans have Indian ancestry. Also we have beadwork in indus valley since a long time and if you check the statues found at indus valley you’ll find that these jewelleries and all the Rajasthani people wear today have been in north India since the time of the Indus civilisation which is like beyond 5000 years ago.

The word “Kabelia” to describe them originated from the Arabic “Kabayel”, for “tribal”. The traditional Indian word would be “Banjara” or “Adivasi”, for “first stayers”.
@NoRiceToEat
@NoRiceToEat Жыл бұрын
Kalbeliya is a hindu marwadi term it’s not arabic! The word 'Kal' means snake and 'Beliya' means friends and hence the word all together means Snakes friend. Tha arabic word for tribe in India is Kabila which originates from kabayel. It’s not kalbeliya. Stop spreading misinformation Delete this comment or edit it.
@krishnanunnimadathil8142
@krishnanunnimadathil8142 Жыл бұрын
@@NoRiceToEat Nope. You are just joining together words which sound like it makes sense and hoping it makes it native Indian but which doesn’t. The word “Alkabayel” is a common Arabic term for “tribal” people and this is what has been adopted here. At best alkalbeliya is a mispronunciation. The traditional lands where Marwadi is spoken has had centuries of direct interaction with Arabic speakers and consequently has several loan words from Arabic. This has been imbibed into several caste names in Marwar, including “Shroff”, from the Arabic “Saraf” or “courier”; “Risal”, for “messenger”, “Rakyan” from the Arabic “Raqayya” for “leader or chief” etc. I would advise you to retrace the footsteps of the languages you are concerned with here. And there is no “Hindu” language. Please stop believing made up stories yourself, sir. And the word for snake in most Indian languages in “Nag” not “Kal” in common languages and “sarpum” in Sanskrit. “Kal” is time. Happy for your comment despite the absence of information within it.
