Oil content is off the charts. Oil mein thoda sa paneer agya h..Certainly an occasional dish..Can't have these daily or even weekly. For paneer..it can be air fried..less oil..then fine.

Thats a good idea... to drain off extra oil later for those traditional desi dishes that do require lot of bhoono-ing and should not be messed with for authenticity. Thanks for addressing it. In Africa, they make a jallof rice with a tomato paste thats literally stewed and reduced slowly for a long time in like a litre of oil... much of the oil is later drained off and the resulting paste, just a few tablespoons brings out a wonderful sweet caramallized flavour of tomato.
