To be very honest I'm with them in this matter.I haven't seen a very great acting in all the shahrukh stuff they have watched and reviewd.And that doesn't mean he isn't a great actor.just try to watch from their perspective. Someone not knowing a single thing about Indian cinema,fans of Daniel day lewis and other actors of that caliber, watching the fame and status of actors like shahrukh salman akshay just recently.There got to be some very strong content from these SUPERSTARS.

I like this movie in fact more than kkhh or K3G.. Leads are not perfect, Srk's character was a jerk, rani was confused stupid damsel who couldn't be happy even after getting the best person she could have, abhishek's character was actually of the best husband one could have( although this scene doesn't portray it like that but he was awesome) and preity was one strong career oriented women who loved her family .. A movie where you won't gush about the perfect romance at the end or how great leads were and all.. It just shows that people like them exist in world... And we love background score..

The film is very aware of what it is, it is tragedy for the most part, except when they end up happily in the end, but that is also fine because there are many years in between since all of them are divorced. I don't believe SRK or Rani's character were wrong... They were in wrong marriages and it happens. Sometimes you work on it, sometimes you derail and make worse choices. The film again is aware of that, the first time SRK Kajol slept together, the scene is edited back and forth showing us Abhishek and Preity in the party. So the scene is not about "look at the triumph of love". They know what they are showing... I was a child back then and I absolutely loved this film, now I hate so many of its scenes, like all the unnecessary comic scenes. As a child I had not seen anything like this, you know such morally conflicted story. Not showing who is wrong, who is villain. Or glorying Infedity like in one of Govinda films... Both my sister actually had huge argument back in the day. I was watching this film for probably 4-5th time and they got very angry. They were saying that I want to grow up to be that person... And I actually understand women insecurity regarding such films

May be bcoz we saw him directly after a leap of 4 years after his accident & didn't see whatver that happened in those 4 years that made him so bitter From the 2 scenes shown before that accident we could see that he ws usually a very joyful & positive person but the accident changed him & made him bitter Not giving a justification fr his behavior, but I understand why he ws the way he ws After the accident he probably went through the toughest period of his entire life, & during such period it's very crucial to have ur loved ones by ur side During such a period without getting adequate love & support some people either go into depression or become extremely bitter Judging from what we saw in the movie Preity's character ws probably not available fr most part of those 4 years, which in turn made him bitter towards everyone, specially her Again....shitty behavior but understandable why he turned out to be like this Also I don't think his character deserved to be called a failure

This is without doubt the best Pretty Zinta performance. This is one of the most stable cast, all the actors (main characters) give a great job, SRK, Amitabh, Rani, Prety and Abishek. The movie is one of the most realistic romance movies, show problems of real and common life, when the couples have common and real problems, this is the second best Karan Johar movie after My Name is Khan. If you are a grow and maturity person I totally recommend this movie.

I feel like you guys don't pick up on the nonverbal acting coming off SRK. When Pretty is giving her monologue he has a lip compression(holding in his emotions and disagreement with said words), lob sideded smile(contempt)and he moves away( trying to distance himself from the accusatuons). These are all real reflections. I'm not saying Pretty didn't do a great job, she did, she delivered her lines well but you guys are missing the.. Great acting. Because all you've see his the old films where he was told to over act all the time.

Indian audience like that kind of background score during such scenes. I remember that after watching KANK , what stayed with me for next several days was the score.whenever I felt sad I went back to that score subconsciously. And I think a lot of Indians feel that way about music in our films.P.S , marriage story is on another level. It's raw , very realistic and maybe that's way it might not do well with the Indian audience. Certainly not in the time when KANK was made

For Rani Mukherjee-Mardaani 1 n 2,Veer Zara(smaller more impactful role),Hichki n this one- Kabhi Alvida Na kehna(Never say goodbye).This is actually a good movie Karan Johar style .People were resistant to it because he was showing another side to Indian marriages-The not so rosy pic , infidelity, incompatible partners ,how exes were not always the villains in the pic ,sometimes nothing can save a relationship etc...but it is a watchable film (melodramatic definitely)with some great performances ♥️🙏

I like that kjo actually tried to show that though the rani n srk r the hero n heroine of the film but they r not the hero n heroine of the story... preity n abhishek are. Kjo could have made their character much more flawed to justify rani n srk's perspective but he did not. But he also didn't want to show rani n srk in absolute negative light so he made them stay alone after divorce until their respective spouses actually moved on and wanted them to be together.

VEER ZARA is a good choice. But make sure u watch it from an Indian perspective ((Am sure u both are quite indianized by now))😂. Its one of the best Indian romantic movie for me. Am sure ull love all three of them in this movie- Shahrukh, Preity and Rani.

As for the next Rani film, I have three suggestions - 1) No one Killed Jessica (with Vidya Balan and based on a real murder case) 2) Laaga Chunari mein Daag (cuz I love Rani and Abhishek and this also features Konkona- another powerhouse actress- pure fiction featuring the city of Benaras as a character and I also love the songs) 3) Mangal Pandey (With Aamir Khan based on one of the events in Indian History that triggered the first war of Indian Independence)

The real message of the movie is that in real life romance is not perfect, every couple have problems, some are more hard and if you don't sure about your love for someone, don't marry.
