America is a very proud & patriotic country. We like to showcase the excellence of our military. I live in Western Massachusetts & specifically down the road from Westover Airforce Base. I never get tired of seeing & hearing the many different aircrafts/helicopters. It always gives me an overwhelming sense of pride. Every 2yrs Westevers hosts the BLUE ANGEL'S airshow & it's amazing. I can honestly say there's nothing like it. When you come to the U S. you should see if you can see their show, it'll blow your mind. ❤️

During the opening ceremonies of the Indy 500 one year, there was a planned B-2 Stealth Bomber flyover. I was in a drum corps nearby rehearsing for our upcoming season, and one of the instructors leading it had everyone (~150 people) stop for about sixty seconds and just watch it fly over us at a couple thousand feet. “The only reason we’re stopping is because this may be the only chance some of you have, in your entire life, to see that plane; it is literally designed to be unseen.” 😂

I got to see one at an Oklahoma State game and I'll never forget it. They're WAY bigger than I thought they were and it's SO quiet. It was also going really really slow and it makes an impact on you far more impressionable than the fast and loud jets. It feels like a gigantic dragon just staring down at you while it goes over.

I'm 20 years retired Air Force. While I didn't fly I was in support. I've been stationed around the world and with nearly every plane. Yes it still give me a great sense of pride. Especially these older planes that were well cared for and still fly today. The really big plane at the end was a C-5 Galaxy cargo plane.

I live across the river from TIAA Bank Field which is the home NFL field for the Jacksonville Jaguars. When they do flyovers at the stadium, they turn and fly over the river and my house. If you're in the stadium, or even in my driveway, you can FEEL the planes in your chest like bass at a concert. It's awe-inspiring.

In my 20s through 40s, my husband and I went to many air shows across the country. It’s an incredible experience and can no longer be reproduced, as so many aircraft have been retired over the decades. You never get tired of the rumbling sound. They’re so fast and you don’t always know the direction they’ll come from, so often you’re surprised by them screaming overhead and it makes you automatically duck, even though they’re very high above you. What a thrill!! I wish you could have been there in the good old days-you would have LOVED it!! This was a great video.

Even if you're not at a game, a flyover is one of the most impressive sights you will ever see. I've seen many flyovers under many different circumstances, none of which involved me being at a sporting event. I've seen A-10 Warthogs, F-16 Falcons, the F-117 Stealth Fighter, F-15 Eagles, Blackhawk Helicopters, V-22 Ospreys and even some of the huge military transport jets. I also experienced flyovers by vintage WWII planes. Fighter jets make such a distinctive and unmistakable sound unlike any other jets you would normally hear, and the sound of the A-10 is in a class all its own. Videos don't even come close to the real thing. I even saw a flyover by the older F-4 Phantoms many, many, years ago. There's nothing quite like the flyover. Find an airshow and go experience some 1st Class "Impressive"!😉✌

In 1999 I was living in Cambridge, Massachusetts (just across the Charles River from Boston) watching the season three finale of Buffy The Vampire Slayer (great episode!)...when I heard a rumbling in the distance. It got louder and closer...and even louder and louder...until my whole apartment started shaking. It turns out Boston was hosting the Baseball All-Star Game and they had a flyover to kick things off and the plane flew (I swear!) ten feet over my apartment on it's way to Fenway Park. (Okay, I don't know how close the plane actually was but it SHOOK the building for sure).

Here in AZ Luke AFB is less than 5 miles from the Arizona Cardinals Stadium (I retired from 20 years of service in the USAF, Luke was my last assignment) Flyovers are Considered Training and Recruitment tool. People say it's a waste of money but those flights would take place anyways so why not give the people a view of their Military. What people don't realize is that it takes numerous of Ground personnel to achieve these flights. You have Crew Chiefs, Weapons troops, Avionics specialists, Fuels, Sheet metal, ground equipment specialists and many more to prepare the acft for flight then they have to Recover and ready the acft for the next days flights/ missions

Seen at least 15 flyovers between Arrowhead, Mile High and Giants Stadium because of nearby Air Force and Naval bases. Bombers, Fighter Jets, A-10 Warthogs and Parachute Jumpers. All of them are awesome, but nothing compares to B-2 Stealth Bombers. They are so much bigger than you think and such a unique technological achievement that nothing can match them.

Because of the location of our seats and the flight lanes, we almost never get to see them while in the stadium. However, helicopters have a different flight lane and they had a pretty cool copter group fly over last game. Usually, they have the flight crews show up later and introduce them. (Usually about midway in the third quarter - time to get the flights back to base and then drive the crews to the game.)

In Colorado, flyovers have an extra ode of attention given to them because of the rapid fluctuations in terrain height and all of the skyscrapers surrounding our football field. It's quite a risky flight. Empower Field rests at the highest altitude in the National Football League, which complicates the entire game for everyone... the thinner air takes its toll on the visiting team's players and staff, and the flyover happens at a much higher altitude than in other cities.

Being in the US military for over 21 years, we are at our safest when we are operating at 100%…most of our mishaps usually always happen when you think less of the situation..it’s really weird, almost like god or something evil had a part in it…like if you let your guard down for literally just a split second and everything goes to hell…that’s why I learned to take everything seriously especially when it involves potential life threatening situations..basically there’s a time and place to be serious…and another time and place for play..

Stealth bombers, which isn't much of a surprise, since the Stealths are mostly kept at nearby Whitman Air Force Base, about 60 miles southeast of here. The coolest flyover I ever saw was this year at the 2022 Nascar Bristol Night Race. I was towards the top and while they were prepping for the national anthem, I could see this large military propeller airplane making steap banked turns off in the distance flying through the Smokey Mountains and as the song was ending, he flew real close to the stands right at me and took a hard left at the last second and then there was fireworks.
