অসাধারণ বক্তা না অসাধারণ গায়ক? কোনটা? উনি বড্ড বেশী কথা বলেন গান গাওয়ার 'ছলে'। প্রায় non-stop! মাঝে মাঝে লাগামহীন রুচিহীনতার দৃষ্টান্ত সৃষ্টি করে ফেলেন ভাষার প্রয়োগে ,যেমন করেছেন এই অনুষ্ঠানটিতেও। আর, রুচিশীল লোকে নির্বিকারভাবে শুনেও যায়। ভারী অদ্ভুত!

I am a prabashi bengali & left bengal in 1981& your song " Hathat rastaye " just makes my heart so heavy & nostalgic whenever I still listen ...but later you made a disaster by one of your act..which shattered my impression on you .. I still can't believe how a revolutionary person like you could opt one stream of life which is most heated today by whole world....and that is most unfortunate & a disastrous decision against your ancestral origin...

আমি বাংলাদেশ থেকে বলছি, মানুষ বড় আজব প্রাণী। তার সাথে মতের মিল, দলের মিল কিংবা ধর্মের মিল না হলে সে যতই ভালো হউক তার বিপক্ষে দাঁড়াবে!!! কবির সুমনের বিষয়টাও সেইম, কিছু লোক উনার মতো গুণী লোকের গুণের কীর্তন না করে, উনাকে নিয়ে বাজে মন্তব্য করে। সেটার একমাত্র কারণ উনি তার মতের না দলের না কিংবা ধর্মের না।

Listen to the song by Sagar Sen. It's not that I don't love Suman, but for Rabindra Sangeet, Sagar Sen is on a complete different level from others. And that includes this song, too. None has sung it better than Sagar Sen.
