Kabuki Sumida River Bando Tamasaburo 歌舞伎 隅田川 坂東玉三郎

The Sumida River was made into Kabuki based on the Noh Sumida River. There is a part that is similar to Noh, and I feel that it has a high dignity.
Bando Tamasaburo, who plays the main character, "Hanzyo," walks through※ "Hanamichi" in a graceful manner despite the movement of a weak woman.
Tamasaburo informed the audience that he was a great performer.
In front of Hanzyo in Shirakawa, Kyoto, she was kidnapped by her only son, Umewakamaru. While wandering around the countries from sadness, she arrive at the Sumida River.
When Hanzyo talks to her boatman, she finds out that her child was abandoned here for trafficking and her child died. She heard that the day she visited was just the first year after her son died. In front of her who visited her grave
She hears the voice of the Buddhist invocation, sees the illusion of her own child, and she madly chases it.

隅田川は能隅田川をもとに歌舞伎にされたものです。能や狂言にも通じる部分があり格調が高いと感じます。
　主人の斑女を演じる坂東公玉三郎さんは、弱弱しい女性の動作でありながら優美な姿で花道を歩いてきます。
すごい演者だ、と知らしめられました。
京都の白河の斑女の前で、一人子の梅若丸を人買いにさらわれました。悲しみから諸国を彷徨しながら、隅田川にたどり着く。
船頭と言葉を交わし我が子がこの地で人買いに捨てられ、
梅若丸が亡くなっていたことを知ります。訪れた日が一周忌であると聞き、墓を訪ねた斑女の前は、
念仏の声の中に我が子の幻影を見て、狂おしげにそれを追い求める。
