Kabutops still has one of the Rawest designs ever as a Pokemon. Scythe arms, back spikes, external bones/armor, mean eyes. Could easily be re-used in anither fanchise as an Horror, killing machine. Honorable mention to its mega kick animation in Stadium 1 and 2.

I believe it goes against the spirit of your challenge. Another possible way to delete HMs is the daycare that I used. Move the HM to the bottom (if I remember correctly). Level it to a new move and the HM falls off.

As a kid I developed this belief about how Horn Drill and Fissure etc worked based on my experience with Pokemon Stadium. I'd try to use it and consistently never hit. My opponent would use it and hit every time. I was convinced that it was speed based in Pokemon Stadium, approaching 100% success as the speed advantage grew. These days I'm very certain this was wrong (I've never found any explanation that matched this belief), and I've since concluded that I was just misunderstanding the odds based on a chain of very unlikely results. Still, with the weird stuff that I'm told was changed in Stadium, maybe there's some bug or quirk that causes Horn Drill to hit consistently, IDK.

Another great video! I've always loved Kabutops from a visual standpoint but didn't think it'd be particularly good at this challenge. Happy to see I was wrong. Also, do you know about the hidden Max Ether in Vermilion City? You can only get it by using Surf, and it's on the side of the building where you trade Spearow for Farfetch'd.

Interestingly Kabutops has been buffed quite a lot in Yellow Legacy too, since it got the now accuracy improved (stab) Rock Slide which rocks even harder with Swords Dance. On that note, scyther and pinsir both can use the same strategy now with 80 BP (stab) Twin Needle, however kabutops is still better then both.... Altough scyther looks cooler :] It would be interesting to see these runs in that version too but sadly it's too late to switch now :P
