This answers my question about whether or not a MIL-SPEC bolt could be used in their (KA) rifles...in a pinch. I hate proprietary parts! Thanks!

idk much about this, but is it proprietary or simple an upgrade or improvement of design to the standard old design. If is, it will no longer be "proprietary if the general market improves it as well.

Can you use the kac bolt with a milspec bcg ? (I know that the barrel extension must be different but I plan on getting one too).

Can you put a KAC bcg in a regular AR15 say like a Noveske or BCM?🤯🔫💣

Do you know the round count on the e3 bolt when this was filmed?

Is the cam track path on the Knights BCG a smaller diameter than a milspec BCG?
@sgav8r7 жыл бұрын
Al Womble yes it is indeed.

No it’s not, the cam track (which is located on the carrier) is the same, which is why any bolt can be used with this and the newer sand cutter carrier. Where’s it’s different is the cam cutout on the bolt, it’s reduced in diameter to reduce crack propagation.

Will the KAC bolt work in any chamber? Or does KAC also have a proprietary chamber?

Casey Terrence No, it is proprietary to Knight’s Armament. It requires an E3 chamber to work and it is only available through Knight’s Armament. There are some online dealers that have barrels and Bolt combos for sale but they are all “take-offs” from a factory rifle. The closet thing you can get to fit into a standard mil-spec M4 Barrel Extension will be the LMT Enhanced Bolt- durability wise. I own several Knight’s Armament SR-15 E3 rifles, and I am a believer in the system (E3 Bolt & Barrel Extenson, extended mid-length gas system, lightweight barrel contour). I personally find them to be the best “bang for your buck”. I know a lot of people will consider them expensive but when you think about everything your getting from the factory with a Knight’s Armament SR-15 E3 Rifle (E3 Bolt & Barrel Extension, extended mid-length gas system, custom contour barrel, ambi lower receiver, muzzle device [suppressor ready], flip-up iron sights, match trigger, trigger guard, rail system, LMT SOPMOD Stock) you end up with a great package out of the box. All you need is an optic and you are good to go. You will EVENTUALLY end up spending just as much if not more, custom building an AR-15 with all the features the Knight’s Armament SR-15 E3 has out-of-the-box. There is also NOT ONE SINGLE EXAMPLE OF A BROKEN E3 BOLT - AS OF YET, IN A CUSTOMERS HANDS. Hope this helps 😁

Michael Westen if you think about the price it’s really not that more expensive considering you will need to either buy a new rifle or complete change parts to your existing rifle before burning out a Knights gun. Haley I think has a SR15 with over 10k rounds through it not cleaned, just oil. It’s just a fact that they make THE BEST ar’s on the market

Have you weighted the bolts? Im curious what is the weight difference. The E3 should be like 15% heavier.
@enigmatic51me95 Жыл бұрын
I tried weighting mine the Knights bolt is 0.13 heavier...not much to write about...

Bolt faces are different!

Curtis Low A lot of people seem to over-look this enhancement in the E3 System, thank you for pointing that out 👍
