The bolt lugs and narrowed cam pin diameter seem to be some of the most desirable benefits. But ole Garland Plumb mentioned reports of people testing KAC barrels to 20k and still getting MOA accuracy out of them. Naturally i'm sure some barrels may not reach that bar. Depending on how repeatable that is from all KAC barrels, i'd say thats probably another very desirable trait.

KAC uses CHF barrels, but they stress relieve (word is, deep-soak cryo.... -320F or colder) after the CHF process, then hand lap before hard chrome, then they have a proprietary process for hard chrome application, then they hand lap AFTER chrome lining as well. If a Knights bolt were to break could you run a regular bolt in it or will it break?

The manual says you can run a regular bolt in an emergency.

Good luck breaking one. I think there has been 1 broken one I've ever heard of happening, and it was due to a KB.

I was wondering if the cam pin Is less diameter, have you ever seen one of those break?

There is essentially no way that could break unless the material itself was severely defective and I have never even heard of a defect of that nature occurring in bar stock.

@@android61242 I was curious because I know it's not uncommon for TDP cam pins to break and they are thicker

@@CoryHobbs2178 the cam pin isn't the part that typically breaks, it's the bolt itself

What would you choose... 1. Very gas efficient carrier w/ a quality bolt. Or, 2. A slightly inefficient carrier w/ an indestructible bolt?

First off the KAC SR15 is a master peace of a rifle. Period worth the money if you can afford it. Second people cover serial numbers because criminals will make a counter fit gun and copy your serial on it to help avoid that cover that up

People bemoaning the changes Knights (and Eugene) implemented in the SR rifles always get me because "milspec" AR dimensions are very long in the tooth for a weapon system. Do they also complain about Sullivan's work at surefire with proprietary parts?

Will the Knights bolt only fit with their proprietary barrels or can I run this bolt in a chamber cut for square lugs? Thanks
