I completely agree with Zane. Slow Burn is the best of the album and it absolutely elevates the rest of the album to a level it may not have reached otherwise. Don't get me wrong, there's not a bad song on the album, but Slow Burn is just that good.

The coolest part of the album is there isn't one bad song or a song I personally dislike. I originally sat down to listen to only one track on the album, n then found myself hitting the mouse to progress to the next song. When I reached the end of the album I was blown away, and then put on repeat!:-) Then I got all of her past recordings and started listening to those albums and can't believe I hadn't gotten to know her music prior. The cool part is that I also found out about Ruston Kelly, her husband, by going on this little journey and the same thing happened to me with his current album, Dying Star and his EP Halloween. Both of them are powerhouse singer/songwriters. Can only hope that both are going to continue to get better as they keep producing more and more music in the future. I'm definitely a fan for life now!!:-)

Golden Hour is one of those albums that you don’t fully appreciate until a year later, when the time comes around again when the album dropped the previous year. All the memories from hearing the album for the first time glow back, all the smells and sights that got tied to that first listen. Those are the best albums. They continue to get better with every passing listen. They never get old. I knew when I first heard it that it was good but that I wouldn’t love it as much then as I do now, months later.

100% me. Her music isn't anything like the country I hate. She made country enjoyable for me. BTW I live in Texas, and country is EVERYWHERE so i have a long deep rooted hatred, so for her to change that for me (in a way take that with a grain of salt) is incredible. A queen.

man was I wrong . I saw she won Album of the year at the Grammys . and first thing I did ? judge a book by its cover. I said "WHO?!?" and saw this good lookin woman country singer and thought something was rigged . i was pissed that the people i wanted to win didnt. But then I got into her interviews and saw how nice and chill she was and said I'll give her album a shot. Man, that album was great. I'm a fan now. She's cool , goodlookin, and talented. FOR SURE

He definitely has a style: Here’s a long-winded hyperbolic statement that might turn into a Q but it’s really just a vessel for you to agree with me. Most of her comments start with “thanks. I agree”. I find that a bit annoying. The fact that he cuts her off/interjects all the time is more annoying. Yet you can tell he genuinely listens to the music and appreciates it. He seems very genuine in his effusive praise. For that reason, I don’t mind this love fest.

Slow Burn on CMA was first time I ever heard of Kacey Musgraves. Instant fan. Couldn't stop listening to the song. Went straight to iTunes and bought immediately. Listened to it over and over. Beautiful song. Absolutely beautiful. Love the chords, the tone, her voice, beautiful.

I don’t normally listen to country, but I’ve been trying to expose myself to more genres. The the first time I listened to Golden Hour from start to finish, I was amazed at how well she set the ambiance for the entire album. Slow Burn definitely set the tone and the melody was stuck in my head for days. Her soothing voice + the lyrics + the melodies + the trance like music = a match made in heaven. Golden Hour is like being at a carnival in Texas with the love of your life on a bright, Sunday evening

The 16th note groove of Slow Burn is fascinating too because for a song that heavily references a laid back approach, it has a drive and push to the underlying structure. It’s a very anti-country sort of groove. I see what Kacey is doing as country meets Pink Floyd. It’s a truly unique take on the genre and something lacking in pop and country today.

SLOW BURN IS MY FAVORITE SONG OF ALL TIME, cause this song is really THAT good! First time i found Kacey Musgraves was when she sing a soundtrack for Frozen (All Is Found) and think i love the song also i think her voice is really good. So i went to her profile on Spotify, i scrolled down her albums, and first song that i listened in that time was Silver Lining and apparently it's a country song, i always has been a big fan of country music. i'm from Indonesia btw and not many people from Indonesia that likes country.
