I just got back from a trip to Ireland (also went Spain). I made sure to bring some very nice gourmet snacks and premium instant coffee for the flight attendants. And when they offer dinner and snacks I often say "no" to make less work for them

Airport’s are full of positive ions so they drain one’s energy, so to have to sit in one contributes to your fatigue, so the best thing to do is to walk around..don’t sit. If there is a waterfall display, stay around it. ( Negative ions are invigorating..like being in a water fall where there is an abundance of negative ions.)

Hi Kacey, I was thinking about how the flight attendants survived their jobs back in the day when there weren’t cell phones. How did they know at home when flights were delayed or canceled? Same for passengers.

They used landlines... pick up the corded phone and call the old fashioned way. The airline would call you at home and give you an update if something was delayed etc.

Kacey: Happy Easter. ✝ After working a 15 hour day and you check into your hotel room without a functioning air conditioner I would immediately request an UPGRADE. The hotel's responsibility is to make sure all their guests have a comfortable room. Also housekeeping should Not be banging on your door at 9AM. Kacey do you ever cook meals in advance and put them in your FREEZER at home ?? Saving money via meal preps makes so much sense. So sorry to hear about all those crazy tornados 🌪 🌪 lately. Be safe. Love Factor meals, Kacey! Delicious and SO easy to make. They do re-heat pretty well if you freeze them, as well. That room in Cancun was...different. Beautiful yet the see thru closet/bathroom was a bit odd. I guess frosted glass hasn't made it's way to Mexico yet :)

So I've got questions! If you show up to the airport to work a flight, you get the pax loaded on the plane, then a mechanical something happens where the flight can't go, and hubs has to come back to the airport to pick you up, do you get paid for all of that effort? Also, I know your airline pays for your hotel room, do they also pay for your meals on the road or is that on you? BTW, Josh seems like a really nice guy! Glad you are happy! All the best!

Here is the problem I see with this career. It isn't sustainable, and it is too easy to drop shifts if you don't want to work, so you don't really work full time. If you are not working full time, you are not paying into your retirement fund. It just seems like a vicious circle of not allowing you to work full time, and creating a bad working environment where you go to the airport and sit to wait for your shift unpaid, which isn't right.
