the whole thing w talc has confused me so much bc it’s not talc itself that’s the problem it’s the risk of asbestos contamination so im like why dont these brands just pay for USP certified asbestos-free talc and Not reformulate? one size did that for their powder so i don’t understand why much bigger legacy brands arent doing that …. like givenchy couldve saved themselves from the catastrophe of the reformulation of their powder by doing that and i just don’t understand 😵‍💫

I've been hoarding loose powder like a psychopath because everyone is reformulating! Even drugstore which I rarely buy is changing it up. I was in Walmart couple weeks ago and saw a tub of Coty airspun and just figured what the hell why not. Tried it the next day it's completely different, (same horrible scent) but the texture and finish are completely different. I figured in 2025 we could figure out how to use talc safely if it's even really a problem.

Nars reformulated their blush to remove the talc and it's just not the same, so I bought a few original Nars blushes off of Poshmark. Now I have enough blush to last me until I'm dead. I don't snort lines of blush nor do I powder my ladybits with it, so I'm not worried about the possible asbestos in the talc. The dose makes the poison after all.

Talc is banned at least in the EU in the loose form because it’s a health hazard if you inhale it (even in a pure, not contaminated form), that is why brands have to remove it.

Ooooh ok you will love the black cherry blush from glossier - I am SUPER pale and neutral olive, and I personally just diffuse it or underpaint with it and it suits my coloring so well, I love it. It’s deep reddish berry, but with a very light hand, it is a perfect neutral pinkish red color on me. Totally recommend!

I enjoy your videos like this one. I learn alot & get validation for my purchases (past & present). I tried so hard to follow your video on undertones...however i was lost & overwhelmed. I long ago purchased the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer in 2 N 1 & its served me well. A couple of days ago I bought Laura Mercier Pure Canvas Primer...Blurring Floutant. A+ the blurring!! Its the 1st primer i recall buying. Not sure if i want or need a primer but i thought this one would be good to have on hand. I've always had the hardest time finding a blush!! I'm old AF as the kids today might say & would have to agree 😂 but ive finally found 2 blushes i LOVE!! For powder i love Lawless! "ANGEL" is the shade that suits me. In liquid i jumped on Hour's shade "scene". Easy to work with using a sponge. I've not tried Hours gorgous powder blushes- For now i'm just thrilled to have a powder, cream blush i love after all my decades on earth. YaY! As for undertones...i stick to the neutral since i'm not educated....and i noticed whenever I get help at Sephora the shades they recommend have always turned out to be neutral. I suspect they are trained to vo with neutral for clients who dont mention what their undertones are. I'm ok with that. I know my veins are blueish/purple. I tend to match in shade ranges of fair to medium. Ive been told i have some olive that shows- i dont notice it. I look my best is bright blues & purple. However i love wearing browns. Endless Cacao is just the best color. I have the matte lipstick in that shade and it's a perfect greige on me, which is great since my skin usually sucks the nuance out of brown-ish shades like that and makes them purple.

I bought the Nars lipstick based on your rec and I love it! the shade I have is Decadence and it is truly the perfect shade for me. Lipsticks tend to pull very bright on me, but this is a perfect dark muted nude berry, such a hard shade to explain.

@ goes to show how formulas can work differently on people. Other reviewers I’ve watched for this blush have had the same result that I had. I’ve never had a problem with ND eyeshadows either. I, however, have a problem with Oden’s Eye eyeshadow, especially their mattes, even though pretty much everyone raves about them. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ever since the Mac nudes launch im like yess! Take me back to basics. I’m def excited for the BB shadow stick ext, just here stalking for release ha. I bought the same 2 nars lipsticks during the last sale, i think i need to eventually try endless cacao because the original artist line is one of my favorite lipliner formulas - and wherever walnut is a fave. My only stipulation is i want to sharpen it ha but I realized i don’t love the longwear ones because they do stick.

The Nars lipstick in Exposed really reminds me of the Elf satin lipstick in Dirty Talk. I have the Elf lipstick so now I want to go swatch and compare! 🤔 The Elf satin formula is beautiful and the packaging is definitely an "homage" to Nars so I wouldnt be surprised 😂

OMG... you just single handedly solved my Natasha Denona matt eyeshadow problem. It f**king never fails to amaze me how you always seem to solve an issue for me... from one low contrast person to another. I'm going to a 21st (I'm 50), and you solved my "red lip" problem. I look shitty in EVERY red lip. I settled on "twig twist" from Mac, which is a purple baised pink lip. NOT EVEN RED!!! I have given up the fight for a red lip, but watching you makes me feel ok about that.. my guy friend 71 says that when I try to wear a red lip, I look like a Barbie doll lol (and not in a good way) so thank you. You have made my life so much easier. Watching someone with the same challenges with pigment and undertone that I have is so much better than with other creators who use pigment that would make me look like a clown🙏

FYI, talc is banned in loose products because those could be inhaled, but in pressed form, it is still ok. Which is why the pressed version of the Givenchy powders that we have in EU has not been reformulated as of yet.

I know it makes the pressed powder ugly, but I scrape my pressed powder into a loose powder container and prefer it that way. Turns a lovely shade of green-IDK what, but it is just like the original. So glad it is still available in some places!

I love Natasha Denona anything. But, yes, you cannot be heavy handed with it. Which is fine… do a little flick or two of the brush - good to go. I love how pigmented her line is. 🙌🏼👏🏼 And, I usually don’t do a heavy makeup look - and, an older millennial here.

I'm not sure if the ND duo is the same formula of the cream blush in the Love Cheek Duo, but I was not a fan of that formula at alllll 😂 Wasn't the easiest to apply and didnt care for the finish either. I much prefer the MAC glow play blush formula for a cream blush

Would love to get feedback on how the Artist Pencil wears for you if you try it as an eyeliner. I just returned the same pencil despite absolutely loving the color because it disappeared after an hour or so every time I used it to line my eyes, and I don’t have particularly oily lids.

Cinnamon from VBB and then the same pencil I used for my lips. I don't do anything to my brows 😭 just do away with the strays underneath. Some girls got great hair, some girls got boobs, I got brows.

The color of the pencil is essentially a very desaturated brown, and desaturation is usually blue gray or green gray in makeup, not actually pure black, so your skin next to that pencil is making the cool tones "pop" - your skin might also be deeper/richer than the pencil in general. Just like a concealer that's too light would look ashy, the pencil might go ashy for that reason!

Hard Pass on the ND blush/highlighters. I do agree with you that duo’s are problematic, but my issues with these is the colors are meh. In a saturated blush market when you are competing with other high end/luxury brands like Patrick Ta and YSL, these do not measure up, IMHO.

I genuinely don't understand the struggle you have with Natasha Denona products... maybe it's a dry skin thing? For me her eyeshadows blend very well, I pick up a little and tap the brush off and I'm good to go (plus very light touch). No shade to you, I'm just always surprised when you say that. What you're seeing is your VEINS through your skin usually. Which is just dealing with local color. In other words, it's not undertone or overtone as much as it is, "my veins are blue/violet/teal, and that's messing with the colors I see." So it's a secret third thing 😂

Hear me out. If you find products get patchy on your skin, you might have dry / improperly prepped skin. Try a different moisturizer or primer that's a bit more moisturizing or tacky.
