Liv Tyler's look in Empire Records has lived rent free in my mind for my entire life. And its literally just a plaid skirt, sweater and docs.

But it's that on...Liv Tyler and that's why it's living rent free in our heads. 😅 I also love references to the movies I love from my teen/college years. I was trying to explain Wet Hot American Summer to younger people recently and it felt very "ok, sure grandma, let's get you to bed."

Glad I saw this. I'm over 70 with multiple eye surgeries along the way that cause extreme sensitivity to cosmetics, to the point that anything with fragrance, glitter, or powder in it make the eyes water and sting all day long, My eyes look very unbalanced due to the surgeries and so far, nothing I could do with existing products to improve my appearance. I've waited for YEARS for a cosmetic line to come out with an all matte cream shadow palette of neutrals that do not make me look ridiculous with crazy colors, metallic, and glitter. I've been very happy with several of Danessa's products, have also sent a few back, but always impressed with how innovative and user-friendly they are. Am ordering the grounded pallet immediately based on your "can't mess this up" demo. Thank you for a thorough review!

As far as the kitchen environment in The Bear goes... It takes a special kind of person to work in a kitchen. And usually those types of people do always think you CAN work harder and faster and bigger, they never expect to hit the ceiling. There's no "oh well we are working hard enough". It is always a pressure cooker of work harder. That's why a lot of chefs and cooks and people that work in restaurants burn out. Working in a kitchen is stressful and chaotic and crazy. It is not for the faint of heart.

Fire everything means to start cooking everything! Like throw all the steaks on the grill that fit, start sautéing the stir fry, drop all the fries in the fryer, etc etc. usually there’s like an assembly line process where like you wouldn’t fry something unless you need to for an order, but “fire everything” is just like don’t wait for the order just make everything you got lol. All day is total, so like if they’re like “I need 4 donuts all day” it’s like 4 donuts total (even though it might be like 2 orders of 1 donut and 1 order of 2, it’s 4 all day). Very confusing but it usually works!

I know it's not the same, but even as a very pale person I feel like the jellyfish palette is the first one I've felt like I've wanted to buy. Even then Theresa is Dead thinks the jellyfish bronzer pulls too warm on her :( I don't get why that's so common with bronzers, that some brands when finally adding a bronzer for the palest skin colors they almost go warmer than the next darkest shade?? Most of us want a bronzer warmer than straight up contour but obviously not warmer than the darker shades we already have access to 😕 That said if Kackie likes an overall darker palette like the one she's using here, I may still get the jellyfish one, I LOVE the packaging and I usually don't care about that stuff.
@unnatural_beauty Жыл бұрын
@@NickaLah My complexion is very cool/pink fair, but the bronzer in the Jellyfish palette is usable for me, just not my favorite. Definitely better for summer. lol The rest of the palette is perfection though! The packaging is way upgraded from the one I bought 2 or 3 holiday seasons ago. I bought this with Ulta rewards so basically free, but I don’t regret it, the brush or the phantom lip glosses. LOVELY! 👏🏻

havent watche d the bear but have worked in kitchens; if you have a bunch of different dishes that take different times to cook but you want them to arrive at the table at the same time, you have to time them out, thats why you cant fire everything all at once. though i have worked in restaurants where things come out as ready, its not common in western dining. The "all day" thing is usually said to make sense of everything on the docket. It gives the cooks a sense of all the orders coming through, how many of x dish or y dish for the whole restaurant, it helps with efficiency to have a sense of whats coming rather than only knowing one chit at a time. But also kitchens are crazy, someones always frustrated and taking it out on someone else, someones always on coke, someones always hungover.
