The first time Zur sold Gjallarhorn in Destiny everyone was saying "What a waste of your exotic slot, no one's going to use an exotic rocket launcher." 3 months later you could barely find a fire team to join if you didn't have a maxed Gjallarhorn. It was perfectly balanced on the edge of being super cool and strong and being overpowered. Wasn't in need of a Nerf but it was definitely the weapon to have. The first nightfall I ever completed I got carried by a buddy and when I got Gjallarhorn at the end I didn't even know what it was. It will always be one of my favorite weapons in any video game. Not just because of how good it was but because of the memories I made with my friends when I blew the shit outta Atheon with it 3 times a week.

Quick tip: During the sparrow race, you don't need to stop at any of the mines. You can just zoom past it without even slowing down.. it'll still dismantle the mines

PSA: At the final boss stage, it's highly recommended you focus on dropping the minishank first during each damage phase. It has high damage output and can easily kill players in a few hits

Tip: During the sparrow part one team member has to activate the door switch off the sparrow. The other 2 should be on the sparrow ready to go. Once the door opens the 2 team members go for the A-D spawn points. The 3rd person goes for the mines. All you need to do is just drive by in close proximity. Also note where the other team members are relative to the timer. When the timer is getting critically low then activate the mine and quickly move to the next one. If the lead gets their sparrow shot out from under them they should try and clear the ads for the next team member to pass. It took a few tries to get it done. Also note that the sparrows have a timeout so make sure you're coordinating what is happening.

Rough Cata guide: There are 3 chests in the dungeon, and you need the Burdened by Riches debuff, which you can get from a Yellow Vandal near the chest, damage the vandal enough and it will drop 1. When opening the chest there will be a text notification in chat, but no update to the item. 1. After falling down, follow the path, up in metal structure before you turn right is where the 1st chest is. The vandal is up and to the right from the chest. 2. After the Barrel of Death, the Vandal will spawn, damage it and go through the vent onwards, as you exit head right, the chest will be there. 3. After the Fallen Shield encounter, on the roof of the building in the middle area the chest will spawn. The vandal will spawn on the Far Right platform, when looking from spawn. The launcher was aligned to the correct one when I did it, but might not be. Either way you can just search. When you get the debuff, just run to the centre, its a bit time sensitive. After that, its 400(?) Kills for Cata Completetion, I reccomend Shuro Chi

Tip for sparrow part: there are little red buttons on the way to each mine, if someone touches them it will extend the time. I stayed back and waited to hit the extension, if the time was getting low, and then I'd move to the next one. You have to look for them, but the first one is on the cliff where some fallen spawn, next to the crashed ship.

Guys gjhallorhorn does 127,000 per shot vs Carl. Someone tested it. With no buffs 127,000. More than 30,000 damage more than an adept hothead with full explosive light. And it gives Wolfpack rounds to everyone else using rocket launchers, increasing the dps even more. This gun is cracked but not over the top. Good job by bungie. Probably the best dps weapon in the game besides fusions this season. And will be so op next season. Guys I just checked the e catalyst give it an in increased mag size so two rockets per mag. So it’s dps must be around 200,000 the best in the game. Not sven the sleeper stimulant or one k competes. What were bungie thinking. Catalyst comes later probs when they release it

I actually think you can solo it. Would take much longer for sure, but doable. Honestly, it wasn't too difficult - tricky, at times, yes - but we'd watched streams during the day of the run so we knew what to expect. But it was a lot of fun with the 2 other clanmates - especially when one of us stepped on a plate and got smooshed....right after warning the others not to step on the plate (splat).

Fun fact, you only need one person in your fireteam to open the first 2 chests. If you join up on a fireteam at the last chest and as long as you open the last chest, you will also get the catalyst.

I am so glad that I watched this vid before purchasing the Aniversy Edition. This dungeon has got to be the most "meh" dungeon I have ever seen. Bungie can do better... Destiny's lore is damn good yet Bungie decides to wasted it with watered down content. When you compare stuff like this to older weapon quests like Outbreak, the lack of quality is insane. I hope Witch Queen delivers. Destiny's Universe has so much potential and it hurts to see all of the lore sitting on the shelf collecting dust. What happened? Destiny can be so much more than it is. I hate comparing it to FF14 but I can't help it. When I see everything that FF14 offers in it's f2p system it pisses me off. Bungie doesn't have to do what they are doing to be profitable. IMO we are getting screwed and I'm done getting screwed. I haven't played D2 in months and I don't miss it. This video just made me to not want the 30th Anniversary edition. I hate pushing buttons, opening doors and stepping on platforms. Where is the creativity?

The Ghorn quest when Rise of Iron came out felt more heroic, grand in scale.... this dungeon feels tedious, I just hope some of my clanmates will do it with me so I can get it done but they're all mostly PST and i'm EST so I often miss out on clan stuff. The shank in the final boss encounter causes the scorch cannons to not be able to spawn the engrams. The main thing overall is that the shank needs to die first for the encounter to even be done and it also hits hard to preferably kill that first

This dungeon was designed by Pete and Repeat. A perfect analogy for this season. Where is all the 30th anniversary nastagia? All show and no go. This stuff is why I've pulled back from playing Destiny 2 - these secret handshake puzzles that take a large black ops team to decode are absolutely useless to me - I very seldom do team play and I don't have a lot of patience with these overly complex quests and missions. After enough times dying I just exit the game and find other things to do. I'll eventually drop Destiny altogether if this is what they're going to produce as a standard.

it seems complicated but it’s really not once you get it down also I would highly recommend finding an experienced group maybe one that can teach you if necessary. If you’ve done a raid before this should be a cakewalk

for the cosmodrome part just go in the lost sector Exodus garden 2A and the servitors there will give a chance of getting those 7x wolfpack rounds if you aren't lucky to get the right public event

I stopped playing Destiny a few months ago. This isn't getting me excited to return. I play solo and they don't cater to any solo players. I've moved on to Battlefield 2042 with a great solo mode to rank things up.
