Saikrishna M Prabhu deva is loved all over India thanks to the Hindi version of Urvasi and this one.The movie was a blockbuster. For ten days in my town all the shows were housefull. No multiplexes those days. I am not a hindi speaker though. There are so many south Indian movies which I had the opportunity to watch only because of Hindi translation. No superiority of one langauge over the other. My own language is much older than Bengali is known to very few Indians. They think it is a copy of Bengali. HIndi is spoken by 50% of Indian. The reason North India was under one common rule. The language got spread widely fast.

The subject of the film is Hero falls in love with the daughter of a politician who fakes his own assassination and the hero gets pulled in. They eat live cockroaches and stuff to prove how much they’re in love with each other. It’s a delightful movie... the music and dance were the best parts.
