1:11 Has your buddy looked at the leaves? Wouldn't hurt to just put the garden hose under the tree, every now and then? Not everyday?? Vegas is like the Sahara without water.. Figs thrive in Mediterranean climates.. it's NOT a substandard fig, just an owner that won't just let the hose run 2 or 3 times a week for 5 minutes.. trees are only as good as the care its given❤

This tree gets plenty of water, the owner has a lush garden and many fruit trees. He's on well water, so water use is not a problem. You're right, figs thrive in a Mediterranean climate...but this is the Mojave Desert where summer temps can will get into the 100+ teens...even into the 120's and winter lows can often get into the teens. Just extreme swings that most fruit trees struggle with.

@@tvanbrown geez makes sense, what is the secret?? I think they are just CLIMATE SPECIFIC.. I'm in Georgia, and some trees thrive here, and some NEVER RIPEN.. I think some aren't going to do well in our climate, no matter what we do?? even the fancy, the saught after ones WILL NOT RIPEN HERE, because they ripen so late and October 1st, anything that ripens HAS NO FLAVOR.. So I started growing only the ones that ripen early and thrive in my area.. unfortunately the saught after ones are a STRUGGLE..
