I mean it made sense back in 2004 but nowadays gaming mice have companion apps with multiple profiles and a very very wide range of DPI and customisable commands. So you just change mouse profiles from a gaming one to a non gaming one.

Depending on the setup, I could see why having multiple mice would be useful. Like if you have one dedicated to monitor-1 (the game you're playing) and another dedicated to monitor-2 (chat, discord, etc), it means you don't have to have the mouse leave the game window to do other stuff.

I actually do have two mice connected to my desktop. A wired right hand mouse for primary use and a wireless left hand oriented trackball mouse for minor activities and to give my right hand a break. I can also just move the receiver for it to a laptop if I need to without digging out another mouse.

Yknow, I think I actually understand what kaela is saying about sustainability. Gaming mice can tend to wear out pretty quickly, especially for click intensive games, limiting the use for other things can make them last longer. (I think, I could be completely wrong)

That's actually fair though. I've used two mice on the same pad before. I had my laptop dedicated to runescape and my main computer for everything else. I'd switch between them constantly. Though I can't defend using two mice for the same computer. Just use your software to swap between profiles.

I genuinely want to know because as a 2 mouse wielder myself, I can give you five good reasons for each mouse and I can legit come up with at least 2 more for a third, but I'd rather have a tablet in those cases instead I just want to hear if her reasons align with my own, or if she's got some other ones

Definitely not common. Especially since a good wireless gaming mouse would also be able to function as a wired mouse plus it would have tons of adjustable settings.

having an ergonomic mouse and a gaming mouse is super nice, the mx master 3 fits my relaxed hand perfectly and my gpro x has just the right curves in just the right places for claw browsing the web and super relaxed games = mx master 3 GAMER and tedious desktop stuff like moving files or photo editing = gpro x at one point i was using 2 pcs and a tablet, 4 mice (2 + 1 + 1) and 3 keyboards (1 for each), which was funny because i didnt do anything that benefited from a multi setup

actually having 2 mouse for gaming and for casual is good... gaming destroy mouse, gaming benefitted from double click normal mouse need to be stable and reliable, if you use it for gaming it will wear faster
