Kafulafuta Dam to enhance water harvesting

Water Development and Sanitation Minister COLLINS NZOVU says the 449 million US dollars Kafulafuta dam will enhance water harvesting and irrigation activities on the Copperbelt.
Mr NZOVU says the facility Is designed to last beyond 50 years.
He says the Dam will ensure water and food security for residents of Luanshya, Ndola, Masaiti and Mpongwe Districts .
He adds that the dam will also serve people engaging in agriculture, livestock and fishing.
Mr. NZOVU said this after paying a courtesy call on Masaiti District Commissioner ENNIE MATUTU before touring the dam.
And Ms MATUTU expressed gratitude for the various developmental projects the government is initiating in the district to improve the livelihoods of people.

Good move by the government. Water has especially been a problem in Ndola. God bless the government & God bless Zambia
