At 8:53 that happened because Yoshidora was drifting in the direction of the ledge and Spargo only got hit by the first two hit boxes of Yoshi’s B-Air. The second hit has a nasty downward hit box, and timing it like that is fairly precise. The first hit pops you straight up a bit. The second hit drags you downward, and the third hit is what everyone is used to getting hit by.

I'm pretty sure most Yoshi mains don't think Yoshi does too badly against Steve, and acola and Yoshidora have a strong rivalry against each other. Cloud on the other hand sucks for Yoshi.

​@@ibsgod3982 It gets closer the better you get, but probably only at top pro level is it a "slight win" for Cloud. The amount of execution and variety you need to win neutral is so high compared to Cloud's and then to get any reward, you need high execution as well.

I'm a main Yoshi, and I can tell you that the only problem for main Yoshis is that we start exposing and over attack. Btw, Yoshidora is a true promise.

@Uriel Castro 100% when I start playing yoshi there are some things that I find familiar in some ways. Like tech chasing off of mistech with fox and yoshi has that with short hops and his amazing airspeed. Being able to lock down characters in a conservative cat and mouse rush down is very strong but also feels like Crack. I think all yoshi mains know the feeling of watching someone try to dash back you and the yoshi player knowing they can short hop forward air simply because of yoshis immense air speed is so good. But we end up showing some of yoshis best cards too early because of it. I think yoshidora has been showing the community just a taste of how oppressive yoshi can be with good spacing and well placed aerials and I can't wait to see how far he takes it.

I honestly agree. I struggle to think of what his weaknesses are other than him being a bit stubby, and the fact that he loses to some meta relevant characters such as Cloud and Aegis. He has the best shield in the game, double jump armor, fantastic airspeed, a solid recovery, is heavy, great combo game, a great projectile, good kill power, and good OOS. He’s nuts. I think he’s easily top tier

​@@mercurysnake274 aegis can be dealt with I fell as none of their aerials seem to be as safe/spammable as cloud's b-air and their recovery seems noticeably weaker than cloud's as well. Yoshidora also has a really good record against shuton which makes me lean to the MU being even. Yoshi's disadvantages onstage seem to be compensated well through off-stage and not being nearly as bad against cloud (b-air and cross slash). I notice yoshidora hitting shuton a lot as shuton goes in for an approach rather than whiff-punishing or punishing him out of shield. This is probably due to aegis aerials being not so spammable or safe as cloud aerials.

Have you seen this game’s roster? Cloud’s bair is not unfair or poorly designed. It’s literally a poke to kill move that kills at reasonable percents. In this very set, Sparg0 allowed the Yoshi player fly all over the stage with lasting and long aerials to look for an opening. He plays Yoshi. He knew the weak spots to the gameplan.
